Robocall said Microsoft license key has expired and all Microsoft programs on computer now locked. Yeah, sure. Microsoft would be contacting people by phone. Ha.

Scammer call (robocall) stating that "This is an emergency call.  Your Microsoft license key has expired. Call ....... (did not get to hear number and WOULD NOT call anyway ... lol).  I wish these scammers would "EXPIRE."  The thought makes me feel warm and fuzzy.  :)

Call to a cellphone.  Not answered.  Presumed telemarketer, or worse (see above).

Caller id "800 Service" - left message saying it was an emergency message that my Microsoft Windows license has expired.  Someone must be falling for these scams, but it's not me.

SCAM. A computerized voice claiming that your Microsoft program has expired, that it's "an emergency", and you must call them back. Trying to prey on people who are unfamiliar with technology, trying to scare them into calling and giving up private information. Despicable people.

Scam robo-call, sayinbg Microsoft license key expired, only I don't have any M$ products

Called them back.  Told them that they are right - I can't even get my computer to boot up.  I asked if I needed to give them my credit card number, they hung up on me.  LOL!  Why can't the phone company shut down the number?

Received call on cell from this number also.  Didn't answer and no message left.  Thanks for the above info.

Same as LT.  Just received call from this number on my cell phone.  As normal, if I don't recognize a number I won't answer.  No message left.  Also appreciate information from others.

I just received a call from this number 866-286-7643 but didn’t answer. If I don’t know a number I don’t answer so it can go to voicemail. If they really wanted me they would leave a message. After I check the number out I go ahead and block it. It’s funny my blocked calls list is larger then my contact list.

Received 1st call on 12/14 - message on answering machine regarding Microsoft key expired ... hard to understand (foreign voice).  Received 4 calls on 12/15 and another today 12/16 ... no message left on any calls except the 1st. The phone number that shows up on the ID is 215-566-5666 Philly PA, but need to return call to 1-866-286-7643.  Wouldn't be surprised if requested to pay a fee in "Bitcoin", another rip off.

called saying my ms numbers have expired. told the indian no good that's news since my computer software runs on linux that i hold mscse and know he's a lying fake ,he cursed me out and hung up

Scam alert. Phony recorded call "alerting" me to an expired license key on my computer OS. Oh gee. You mean my XP has expired?

By the time phone companies(and there are more than one) get their act together to legally go after these creeps, they have changed their number and even the office they were working out of and started fresh someplace else. I have a program installed on my VOIP phone line that is provided free by my cable company. It is called No**mo**robo. (This site blocks printing the name so remove the "stars" and that is the name. Your phone rings once on blocked numbers and hangs up on the caller. This is free for landlines and I think it cost $9.99 for cell phones. Worth the cost if you are slammed with calls on your cell. It blocks 4 or more calls a day on my home phone.

Called with another hopeless message of how my Microsoft Windows license has expired and how I would bwe locked out of my computer unless I called them back.  Well here's my call back all you scammers, and why is it scam suspicion in your call type box.  This is definitely a scam but corporate America helps corporate America and cares less about clamping down on the numerous scammers out there.

I’m tired of these bozos, the irs scams are the best. So I call them back and when they answer I tell them that their mother is with me and my camel is boinking her, but I use more descriptive words! They get all pissed off and start cussing me out then hang up ! Ha ha I get the last laugh!!
