the call said it was from what sounded like Community bank, but the more I listened to it it said Commenity...  They asked me to call back at a different number and extension, 866-836-9846, xt1216086.  When I returned the call they began asking for my name & number, account info & I knew it wasn't right. So I hung up.  

This is a collection attempt from Comenity Bank.  They fund various credit cards i.e.  Gardner White, Lane Bryant, Art Van.  

I received exactly the same thing, same everything as you. did they ever call back.

This is the first time I have ever gotten this call. I was on the phone with another person, so there was a message left on my phone. He said his name was Anthony from Permanente Capital Bank then I couldn't understand quite understand is next couple of words. But he said he wanted to hook me up with some special programs, but I had to call them by 3 pm today. Then he repeated the name again as Good Sam/Capital bank. Well first of all, this is a holiday weekend and is Sunday. Who does business on a Sunday? I have no idea what this is about and I have never had anything to do with this bank. He gave 866-291-8712  with his extension as 1216225.

They called me and left a message to call them back to talk about personal businesses. I called and they say they from community bank and asked about my SSN and my personal information, I refused for security reason and then they say they need to discussed some personal business . They keep calling me.  

They cover Torrid and I believe Old Navy credit cards... they call when you're past due..

They have called me repeatedly about a debt they say my mother owes on a store credit card.  

I received a message from Jeff Calwin? (he spoke very fast) said he wanted to discuss a personal business matter and call him back at 1-866-291-8712 x1216137.  When I returned the call, he asked for tons of personal information to verify my identity. I refused, and he refused to tell me why he called.  Beware!

Victoria's Secret, Loft, department store credit cards

A woman asked to speak with an employee regarding a personal matter.  When I said the firm didn't accept personal calls, she backtracked and stated it was business.  Having received many inquiries using this verbiage that turned out to be from collection agencies, I cut to the chase and told her the company doesn't permit them, either.  As is typical with these people, she started overtalking me with the accusation of preventing her from doing her job and demanding my name, so she could report it to a supervisor when she phoned back!  I switched her to a recording that gives instructions for legitimate employment verifications.  When the last group of hounds went after a manager, I notified Legal, HR, and Security, which consulted with IT about blocking the two numbers they were using.  How many more must we go after?

Called and left message on my cell about a personal matter..i have no unpaid debt....have never heard of this bank

SCAM!!! TELL THEM NOTHING!!!!

Got a call from this number with a voice mail asking for someone named Nicole to call them back. I don't know anyone named Nicole, possible scam or maybe real debt collection, not sure.

false account use that is unidentified

This person said his name was Leon and to call him back at 1-866-291-8712 ext. 1216019  He has an Issue with a  file generation from Commedity or possible Community Bank. His voice was very slow and slurred and had to fumble you could tell for a name to address the call to . This call was to my private cell phone number.

Comenity Bank- A Debt Collector- They Suck!
Calls all day long from dozens of different numbers......thing is they are calling the wrong person. No one they ask for has ever lived here, nor do I know them. After several attempts to tell them they have the wrong person/number, they continue to call me- all day long, from 8:01 am to 8:58 pm. They have even given me the person's- full name, date of birth, FULL social security number, husband's name, last know address. Most certainly a privacy violation for the real person they're looking for.
These people suck soooo hard. So now I just mess with them whenever I have the time. I've blocked all of their calls once I get a new number on my ID. But if I do get one of them on the line......I screw with them big time!
I am disabled and terminal, and it provides me a little entertainment. In any event they can blow me.

Caller was trying to sell me a [***] enlarging medicine. I laughed and hung up on him. SCAM!

This is a real company. If you don't have an account with these people then block it and move on!! Geesh!
