Maybe, maybe not. Missed calls could be from anyone.
Scammers, telemarketers, debt collectors, pranksters, surveys, notifications, alerts, wrong number, etc. Some use neighbor spoofing so it appears that an incoming call is coming from a local number, or spoof a number from a company or a government agency that you may already know and trust. If you answer, you can find out who it is or what they want. Just be aware some may use scam scripts to try to steal your money or valuable personal information, which can be used in fraudulent activity.

Called twice in the same minute. Leaves no message

Amazing! I got a call too, right after flushing the toilet, so what does it mean?

Have had several of these no message calls over 2 or 3 years. I check this site and guess what? Its always portfolio recovery. I quit answering unknown calls long ago. If important leave voicemail.

A call from UN-known - some type of collection scam posing as Portfolio Associate Recovery which is located in VA. not AL. - They keep calling using a different new numbers even from CA. after being told to remove my number from their call list and blocked.
