This phone is the Galveston County Social Security office.  The number has been changed from the local 409 number

Stated a case has been filed in our name

Voicemail says that my Social Security number has been suspended.

Apparently a robo call that started when answering machine picked up, only got last few words of message.  Have blocked this number.

Received call, caller ID says, "United States Government", said my social security number has been suspended

Scammers,  please don't fall for this. Just hang up

SSN suspended … does that mean I won't have to pay taxes any more?? :D

Recording to call before I catch a federal case for social security. Recording that gives out info and address and hours of operation when calling. I called after business hours.

Auto system said social security # suspended. Said press 1 so I did. They asked how they could help me. I said you called me and I asked who is this. I heard alot of people in the background which raised a red flag. They ended up hanging up on me! I immediately called my local social security office and they said its a fraud. I reported it and suggest everyone does. And do not ever give your info to anyone calling you.

Same call that everyone else is reporting and not even in good english. If it was not a scam, then the govt would losing all of our tax money.  Bad actors
