- Roger McMichaels| 3 repliesScam artist calling from 866 300 8750. Do NOT fall for it. Claims to be a personal matter. It's fake!!
- Caller: Does Not Say
- Daveyep just started here. Has to be a scam
- ScambusterSame here! Just another scammer. Ignoring the caller is the best way to frustrate them. I no longer use an answering machine. If it is really important to them, there is still the USPS; a letter always has a return address either on the outside or inside!
Makes one wonder why they persevere, must be because they 'hit' on a percentage that pays off. Inform everyone you talk to about this, especially vunerable seniors. We shall overcome!!!!! - Jax| 1 replyThey have started calling all hours of the day including 8am and wake up my kids. They never leave a message. So aggravating!!! Does the Do Not Call list not work on calls like these?

Can't stand these people and the government lets them get away with it. While we the innocent get harassed. Yep that seems real fair. NOT!!! if anyone calls you from 866-300-8750 tell them they are NOT to Call again and then file a complaint with DO NOT CALL - FTC: http://www.consumercomplaintagency.org/
- Virginia replies to DataminerMidlanland calls here I just counted 8 times. I have received the information for class action law suit. They find a out dated statue of limitation and start calling. They are doing exactly what they are being sued for collections
- SueI just got my phone number 2 weeks ago and it is unlisted. I was out of town for a week and they had blown my number up. Yesterday they woke me up. I told them I did not know them or the person they were looking for and to stop calling. I had a record of every call they made and I was turning them in to the FCC and state attorney. They said do not do that and would stop. So far today they have called 5 times.
- Caller: 800 service

- Brittany| 2 repliesCollections. For a debt I owed years and years ago. I think this is illegal since it's now past the statute of limitations. I have no idea how that works, but there is no way I can pay the debt since I am disabled and have no income. At least I can block them with Google Voice, which I did. It's illegal what they are doing.
- Caller: FIA Card Services
- Call type: Debt collector
- bill replies to JaxNo it does not. The Do Not Call List does not apply to some categories of which debt collectors are among.
The DNC Registry only applies to "Registered with the FTC Telemarketing businesses" and only those of which attempts to sell you goods or services over the phone. No one else nor any other kind of unwanted call. - jay replies to NJ ChickSince the call does not violate the do not call registry, complaints should be filed with the appropriate government agency as well as the FTC Proper. But not through the Do Not Call Registry.
- Alfalfa replies to Brittany| 1 replyThe Statute of Limitations is explained here:
The debt statute of limitations refers to the amount of time after which creditors can no longer sue you to collect a debt. If a debt collector threatens to sue you over a debt that is beyond the state statute of limitations, they are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

- MarieWe just obtained this phone number six months ago after moving to the area. We have received numerous phone calls from this number. When I have answered , there was no one on the line . EVER! They call starting at 9:00Am all day until evening all week. Even if this is debt collector, perhaps they should make sure they have the right people. Otherwise it is considered unnecessary ,harassment. I have received a handful of calls looking for a "Jerome". I can see now that he probably needed to change his number. Unfortunately we got it. I have been keeping a log and checking our caller I.D. of every time they call, then I will follow up with my complaint and take it from there.
- Someonesgoing2answer replies to DataminerMidland had better make sure they have the right person before they start harassing.
- stopharrassingmeWhoever this is...needs to stop...they call several times a day....leave no message....it's just harassment...and it needs to stop....ALL of my phone number are on the DNC list...but it hasn't helped at all!! They call my home number and then when I don't answer they blow up my cell...which I don't answer either...so they are wasting their time...
- John DoeEvery day I get a cal from this number and every day I call then back at which time they inform me that my number is not in their system so there is nothing they can do. This is obviously some sort of fraud because a legitimate company would honor the do-not-call lists.
