This number has called several times a day, several days a week, in the last few weeks. I do not answer numbers I do not recognize. The fact this number is so persistent makes me rather suspicious.

‭+1 (866) 322-4983‬ Calls everyday 9-12 times a day from 8am to 9pm. Some calls are within seconds of each other.

This is Citibank collections department.

I feel that every time these people call we should be able to collect a sizable fee from them. They call for days and from different numbers. Someone should set up a legal way to do this. It is a form of harassment and if the fee is high enough, hopefully they would stop calling. The government has the means to track these people down as they did when it involved the guy claiming he was from the IRS. Stop calling or it’s money in my pocket.

Let's see.  Everyone here has reported it as Citibank collections.  Gee, I wonder how hard it would be to track down Citibank?  I wonder if we could go on this thing called the internet and find their address?  How is it that you expect to get paid because they are calling you because you owe them money?

If it was in fact Citibank calling you, then you already know all you need about them and why they are calling. Its up to YOU to take action against them if you feel your being harassed, not "someone" or "the Gov". If you owe money, they have every right to try collecting on it, so long as they abide by the law.

If it was a scammer spoofing the number, then you still need to know who they are before expecting the Gov to 'track them down', because how would they know you even  got a call or  who called, if you don't?
Complaining with the expectation someone else should do something about your problem will solve nothing.

You're paying a lawyer to investigate this number? If you have that kind of money, why don't you just pay Citibank the money you owe them? Then they'd stop calling.

i get calls from this number. I don't have any accounts with citibank lol. I don't answer it.

Confirmed with CitiBank this number is in fact for CitiBank Sears collections.
Though with number spoofing being so big lately I would call the number back rather then giving information if they called you.

Looks like they are on another round of scam calling. No message left so they get blocked!

Rec'd a call from this number.  They did not leave a message.  I called back from a different phone.  They are Citibank.  I do not have an account with Citibank.

Number spoofing only works one way, so you can call the number back and will defiantly get Citibanks Sears Credit Collections department, Or you could call some other number and spend 15 minuets on hold/being transferred to the correct person/department to get your number removed if in fact it is a mistake.
