- JBGot a call from another number to call this number because I had a subpoena for me, call was from 816-205-8485, the woman was nervous like it was her first call. Called 866-341-4440, got transferred to Larry in the "meditation" department. Larry called me 6 months ago with this same scam, Larry doesn't remember I'm sure. Larry tells me I owe a debt, not on my credit report, nor do I owe any, however Larry says he will take me to court if I don't pay 3125$ right now. I tell Larry he is not allowed to threaten me like that per fair credit act. Larry says that doesn't apply since Larry is mediation not a debt collector. I asked Larry to validate this debt, Larry says it was sent in a packet. I never received a packet, I asked what address, Larry doesn't know my address, I asked to give me his address so I can verify that his company is for real and in fact he is who he says he is. Larry refuses, I tell ol Larry to go ahead with the subpoena then, I have no further business to discuss with him. Larry gets mad and hangs up. Moral of the story, Larry is a scammer and Larry has been reported to the attorney General office. If you get a call from this man please report it to your AGO! Scammers won't go away if we aren't proactive, it took about 10 minutes online to report it.

- Naomi| 2 repliesCalls every day, leaves this 866-341-4440 number as number I "must call immediately to get documents for case number..."
When I call that number, it is debt collector (Meridian), NOT attorney. The messages they leave are first "urgent legal matter" but then they proceed to threatening. Alternate number for them:
816-205-8485- Caller: Meridian UNIDENTIFIED

- BigA replies to Naomi| 1 replyThis is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying. They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number

- KrisRec'd a call from them stating I had a credit card with Chase bank back in 2007, I never did business with Chase bank. I was told that I owed 2300 dollars, but he noticed I had made payments for years before. They also said that Chase charged the debt off as a bad one. I told him how can you now call me 9 years later and after it had already been charged off by the bank. He said I was going to be taken to court and have my wages garnished if I did not pay right away. They even went so far as to call my son and ex husband looking for me, making both of them nervous. He told me I would have to fly back to the said state plus have their lawyer fees adding up to nearly 4 grand., but he said oh but I can give you a break if you pay right now, only 847 dollars. They said they were a processing service for Meridian collections.
