I received an message on my phone from someone leaving me this number to call.

I just got a message as well stating that there is unusual charges on my account and to call this same number. I am using sprint.

If you have any concern about charges on your phone contact your cell phone company directly. This can usually be done by dialing *2 on your cell phone.

This ironically turned out to be legit for me. I used *2 to verify the message though.

I got the same message and called sprint as well. It was legit and they just noticed high internet usage on my phone and offered me a plan so I wouldnt have to pay alot.

I received a text message from this number saying that they noticed an unusual amount of calls being placed from my phone and to call the 866 number. Rather than to call that number, I called Sprint directly and I was over my minutes. I guess it's legit but I don't see what it doesn't just say to press *2.

Its, legit, i work for the department that handles these calls, its just a seperate department that takes care of charges that have occured during the current bill cycle, we have the ability to back date plans to take care of current usage rather than future date plans to prevent in the future.

Sprint told me that there was no charges from this number and to report it to you all this is a scam to get people to send information. Please inform others of this scam and not to respond to it rather to report it as soon as possible.

This is not a scam number.  It's a sprint call center.  I received the SMS message because I had unusual charges.  It turned out that they had orginally put an international calling plan on my phone instead of my husband's, while my husband uses international calling and I don't.  They were able to back date the plan to the correct phone to remove the charges.

The agent you got was obviously not very smart.

We pretty much fixed *2 and the Sprint store's mistakes. :|

Scam claiming to be Sprint. Not Sprint. Beware. They keep calling even if you tell them to stop.

Some one with a weird accent  called and once I said wrong number another guy called. Scam!!!
