- Misty| 1 replyTotal scam. Saying they are going to have my husband thrown in jail for an unpaid payday loan from 2010. Kept calling my husband a dummy and hung up on him once. When she called back she pretended that she hadn't just spoke to him. Called him a dummy some more and threatened to call police and have him arrested immediately. Lol we haven't had a checkbook since 2008.

- DanLeft a message saying that a complaint was filed and I would be served at home or work. I tried calling back, and the voice mail was full and it disconnected the call. Could not make out what the law firm was supposed to be. From above, sounds like payday loans. I have no outstanding debt. If anyone finds out who these people are, please post it here.
- DanFinally got in touch with them... Access(something) was the name. They apparently had the wrong phone number.
- Caller: Access(something)

- JImThis phone number is a total SCAM!!!! My daughter called back and was threatened with jail and automatic suspension of her
drivers license. They would not give her any information at all of what it was about. She was so upset I took her to the police department. The caller said something about court and had last four digits of her social. We were told at the police department that it was a scam! We filed a report. Do not ever reply to this kind of call!!!! - work for court replies to Deborah etzcornThey don't call before they serve papers. If it was legitimate, they would have your address to serve you. I have spoken with a lawyer and he said report them to the FTC and don't give them any personal information and don't send any money.

- BigA replies to ChrisYou could have gotten that information here for free:
First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
List of State AG’s offices: https://800notes.com/faq/attorney-general - Mike| 2 repliesThis company is calling and saying they are recording the phone call. They won’t to send documents to our address or place of employment. They have all of our personal info. We tell them that we have all the documents that state that we are payed in full. They insist that we repeat what they are telling us. Basically it’s saying that we understand what this phone call is about and that we will work with them. We told them that we had all the documents that we are paid and full and that we could fax it to them. The lady simply told us that they don’t have a fax machine. Then things got nasty . If someone is out there that can find out who these people are so that the right authorities can put a stop to this company please post .
- Caller: .Absolute processing
- Call type: Debt collector
- Tygerkat replies to MikeYou dont have to prove you don't owe the debt, they must prove you do. Refusal to send debt validation is proof they're scammers. By law, they must send it within 5 business days of initial contact.
- BigA replies to MikeI doubt we will be able to find them without more and better information. I have already listed the federal and state agencies you should be both reporting to and learning from. As TK pointed out, it is up to them to prove that you owe the debt and that they have the legal right to collect it. You don't have to prove anything and I strongly advise against giving them any more information than what they already have. They must by law send you a dunning letter stating who they are, where they are located, who the original creditor is, and what the amount of the debt is. That letter must also tell you that you have 30 days to dispute the debt in writing, something you should immediately do by certified, return receipt mail. At that point they must legally stop all communication with you until they validate the debt with the original creditor.
- CWG40If you call that number you get the creepy hold music associated with off-shore Caribbean debt scammers.
