I received a message on my phone this morning claiming to be from NCO Financial Systems - a debt collections company.  I was instructed to call "David Meyers" - and told all information would be used for the collection of this unnamed "debt."

The phone number given was:  1-866-376-1967 and I was given the code of: 2R2WLP.

Since I have no outstanding debts, I knew for sure that it was a complete sham and this has been proven by finding this phone number has already been used for bogus purposes for several years at least.

My debts were created in AZ. The statute if limitation there is 3 yrs. However, I moved to Washington State 2 yrs ago. Does the statute apply to the state the debt was created in or the current state of residence?

I get these calls all hours of the day and early on Saturday morinings! Just got one and I'm sick of it. They are very annoying! I'm getting them on my home phone too! I just don't answer the phone any more. Hate to shut off the phones just incase of an emergency but it looks like I'm going to. Does anybody know how to stop the calls?????

I don't know how to stop the calls but an important step to take is to register on the National Do Not Call Registry:  https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx

Then be sure to take the time to report all annoying and unwanted phone calls to them.

Yesterday I got another message claiming to be from NCO Financial Systems - which was the same recorded message as before.

We've been getting the same calls from NCO. Saying we have debt, which we dont. We're supposed to call back a David Myers, but his name isn't even in the directory. And the number I call back is to someone elses phone and her voicemail is full and won't accept any other messages. SO annoying. I don't even know who they're calling for, because they never say who has the debt.

Absolutely ridiculous. How do I make it stop?

I've had all kinds of scam phone calls the last year.  This one is new.  They said I owe debt, but I have never owed any debt--ever.  Kind of funny-I'm supposed to ask for Mrs. Oogle!  Couldn't they think of a better name!
