Has anyone gotten a call from Continental Legal Group?  They just called me at work wanting to verify my address.  They say that they have sent me letters claiming i owe $600.00.  They just called my work and spoke to my supervisor saying that they were going to send a processor to serve me a summons to appear in court if i don't return their call.  I asked them where they were located and asked for an address.  When i did this they transferred me and another person got on the phone and still would give me an address just saying that this is their headquarter office and it is located in Phoenix, AZ.  I tried to google that and absolutely nothing shows up.  What is going on with these people???

We just got a message dated june 10th stating my husband was in trouble for check fraud and she was coming to our house or his place of business (he owns his own business)...gave a claim # and extention and wished us luck.  I told him this was a fraud because it's just not done that way......he called the # she gave and got this Continental legal group.......hhuummmmmmm........

i got a call from a John grahm about check fraud and wen i asked how i was to pay them they said it could only be done over the phone thru my credit card.but it was from a blocked number...idk about fraud but i did get a loan, but i thought i paid it and he also told me he was gonna come serve me papers i agreed to pay 50 a week and they said if i didn't i would be dragged to court, i wish i would have did research on this company first...i can't seem to get a address or website on them does anyone else kno wat is going on wit this company? is it a real collection company? every time they call me it's from a blocked number. but they leave me a number to call 1-877-394-5573

Im in the finance business and do collections as well. If they were going to drag you into court they would have already done it. These are all just illegal practices to get you to pay them.

I too got a call from these people.  Agent ROnald Simmons left me a message saying he investigated and found that there was cause t charge me with check fraud.  I called the 877-394-5573 number I was told that I had a process server showing up that morning with two cops.  one to serve me and one to arrent me.  Bryan Nicols said he was in litigation and would handle my case.  Unfortunately I agree to pay them some money and pay the rest later.  Something didn't seem right so I contacted an attorney and states attorney's office.  I was told that this is a scam and had to cancel my credit card to keep them from getting anymore money.  My attorney said if they called back which they probably will to have them send my attorney a Debt Validation statement.  If they are ligit they will send this.

I got a call from them too! It was from Jonathan Graham and it was about check fraud. I did get a loan last year from loan point usa and they keep telling me that i owe more than 1,000 but i made those payments and i only borrowed 400. They keep threatening me saying they will come to my job or home. They also say that because the loan company processes the payments as checks, its as if i was writing bad checks....heck no! They have been paid more than what i borrowed and they try different names and say they are calling from the District Attorney's office and that Jonathan Graham is the A.D.A. However Jonathan G just called me and said he was calling from Continental Legal Group.....duh! Not an Assistant District Attorney. He's at a fricken collection agency and they are using scare tactics. Whatever...can you say illegal? And they also call me from blocked number but tell me to call 888 866 9111.

Don't let these idiots scare you. I knew they were a scam when they would disclose their bar number or the names of the attorneys. I called the Arizona Bar Association, Arizona State Attorney, Phoenix Police Dept., & my local police. I then called Continental, and let's say they were not too happy.

Yes I received a phone message to call from a Jaqueline Monroe regarding a debit and she also threatened that if I did not call back to day that a process server would arrive at my home or business. I called 855-854-1408, Continental Legal.  When I asked to speak to Jacqueline a women asked me to hold, then another women answered the line. She had the same voice of the women who left the voice message, but a different name. So I was suspicious, she told me that if i setup a payment plan she would stop the order, but i told her that i wanted her to provide me proof of this debit and send me a debit validation letter. She refused, so i asked again to send the validation letter and she said it was too late. She said I was sent a letter in February, but i told her that i never received anything and i would not setup any arrangement unless i received a validation letter. I asked the women where she was calling from and she said Phoenix, Arizona. The women got frustrated and upset and said i would be served. I told i would be waiting and she hung up..

These clowns are full of it, I recieved a call from these people saying , I would be filed against in court, when I called them back they never let me speak to the so call person who claim to have left me a message. When you call they all asking you all kinds of questions about, who you are? where are you calling from? where do you work? and other questions. If they had something on you, why in the hell don't they have info about you. Listen up, these crazy people are grasping at straws, trying to syke you out. I have filed complaints with the Attorney General Office. If they call you don't feed into their BS, hang up on their crazy behinds, or tell these jokers they have the wrong number, don't waste your time dealing with the likes of them.

Received a message forwarded from my HR Department at work from John Stein. He stated he received an order yesterday. He called to get my company's protocol for service of process. He stated to my employer that I have charges against me and stated that I "have been officially notified." A BLATANT ATTEMPT TO GET ME FIRED FROM MY JOB. Going straight to the Attorney General Office in Arizona with a complaint, or wherever else I can find where they do business.

I receive a call fron this same organization at work with the name of Robert Hokes and to call 603-856-0338 claimif hes from continental legal. I have to call him back but I really don't now who he is what should i do?

Listen I worked at a pay day loan company for 5 years and I know for a fact that all any of those places can do is file a judgement against you. I went and got a pay day loan and was in the hospital for 2 weeks having surgery. These jerks didn't believe me, came to my hospital room and demanded I pay my payment. I paid it, but after that I decided due to that greed and complete lack of humanity, that I would never pay them another penny. So I also have been getting calls from continental law group from Jonathan Graham 855-835-8717 ext 614 but they don't have my new number so they are leaving all of these threatening voicemails on family members phones saying that I have officially been notified, they are coming to my house blah blah blah. This has been going on since 05 and they still haven't found me, really? I've been at the same address. So I called today from a blocked number and really passed this chick off, because she said are u aware of the case we have against you and I was like who are you again? She said continental law group and I said oh yea you're just a collection agency because if you knew anything about the law you would know that you aren't allowed to talk about, leave information about my case, threaten other peoples voicemails but mine. You would have to talk to me so you're a lowsy  collection agency trying to scare people under false impressions and false pretense so  you have officially been notified of the case about to be slapped in your face!!! She hung up on me, so everyone who is worried about this company, please don't be THEY ARE A COLLECTION AGENCY LYING AND PRETENDING TO BE A LAW GROUP. If anyone is interested in going after them with me with a law suit please let me know. They are abusive, deceiving, impersonating someone with authority just to scare us and try to get money. It isn't right and they need to be stopped ASAP.

I am very interested, they have harassed my family and friends..they are rude, disrespectful and don't take no for an answer.

I got a call today and last month, From Jon Graham?? They said they were from my county, are they quoting your county as well?? Its really got me freaked, said i was going to have warrants for my arrest for writing bad checks... Im 23 I have never done anything illegal in my life.. all i did was got a loan.. and now im being harrassed about bad checks... I was about to have a nervous break down till i saw this... but im still weary....

I would like to go after them as well. =]

I've received calls from a woman named Jacqueline Monroe who stated she was on my way to my house and if I did not answer the door a warrent would be issued for my arrest.  She also left a Voice Mail to my supervisor stating that she "needs to serve" me "with legal papework," and demanded that she call her.  She stated that she was from the Maricopa County Sherrif's Office Process Server's Office.  When I called MCSO Process Server's Office, there was no one there by that name that worked in that office, so I called 602-855-650-9900 (Continental Legal Department), which is the number that this "Ms Monroe" left.  I got a woman with the exact same voice named Crystal McKenzie.  When I told her that Ms Monroe did not exist at MCSO, she said this woman was an "Independent Contractor" and licensed through MCSO as a process server.  I asked why she said she was with MCSO and Ms McKenzie stated that she was going to take me to court and as I owe over $2,000 which I do not, it was a felony.  She handed the phone off to a "Mr Graham" who stated that I would need to get a legal attorney and would have to appear in court as early as next week once I've been served and I can't file bankruptcy because "we have already begun legal action against you for check fraud and breech of contract."  I tried to negotiate payments and they said they would "put my account on legal hold" until my payday, which is Friday.  I'm seeing an attorey tomorrow (Thursday).  So then I decided to "google" Jacqueline Monroe's name.  Glad I did.  I will be printing all of this out to take to my attorney...they can deal with them from now on.

Apparently these people are out of Florida and have a "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau and several complaints.

They called me using the number 888-568-6034 left a voicemail on cell phone/home phone stating they had a summons.  I did call them back, when I started asking questions about where they were located, what court was the paperwork against me filed Mr. Cox started yelling at me.  NO ONE serving a summoms will give you any warning that your about to get served.  Because they don't want you to dodge them, THEY CANNOT set a court date until you have been OFFICIALLY served.

What you can do:  
File a complaint with the Federal Trade Comm.  That's the only way to make sure they stop doing this to you and others.
