I have received a recorded message stating that it was a collection agency.  This agency is looking for a Todd Groman (or Gormann) and left the above number.  I do not know this person. I *69 and the phone number was given.  I called the number and a female claimed she didn't know anything, but she did correct me and say "Gorman."  After some investigating there seems to be a link between the 866 number and the residential number in the phone book.

I got a call from these people and they left a computerized message claiming they were calling in regards to a debt. I am in college and could very well have a debt i dont know about but i don't think so and this is the first ive heard. So when I called back no one answered, several times this happened. They claim they are Penn Group LLC but nothing really exists online about a collection agency by that name. So now I am pretty sure it is a scam. I sure hope so...

I am recieving a similar call daily, looking for another individual who may have had my phone number previously.  The automated message is read very quickly and the computerized voice is hard to understand clearly, but I believe it to be Pentagroup Financial LLC.  Their web site is: http://www.pentagroup.us/

I keep receiving daily a call for a Steven Ix, saying that he had debt and he needs to call back, I am tired of them calling me as I am not Steven and they keep calling every day.
What to do against these scam agencies? I am on the dont call registry and keep receiving these type of calls everyday. Its so annoying. They claim being from Pentagroup Financial LLC.

They keep calling me at work looking for Jorge Rodriguez and when I call back - no one answers

Received call from PentaGroup Financial, LLC (?) wanting me to contact 866-384-6884 for information regarding a debt they were trying to collect. They had my last name and just referred to that.
I remember receiving one of those informational-chain letter type emails from a friend about a week ago. It mentioned, I believe 3 or 4 area codes NOT to return calls to if requested by automated voicemails. I believe 866 was one of them. I could not find 866 as a valid area code, has anyone?
This scam supposedly captures your phone line, becomes a temporary service provider for you and charges outrageous 'tolls' for service. The line is used to call foreign countries, such as D.R., African Nations, and subscriber receives billing for this time in the thousands' of dollars. Your phone service provider supposedly can do little about it, or hasn't up to now.
Sorry so vague on it, but this is what I remember from that chain letter type emails, which I don't tend to pass on myself just concerned about hidden viruses and where these messages actually originate.

Received a call from this number on my cell phone. When I attempted to answer the call they hung up. I called back and the man stated that he is looking for Phillip Rice. Advised him that I did not know a Phillip Rice. The man started asking me a million questions as if he was interrogating me. I just politely told him that I do not know a Phillip Rice and if he continues to contact my cell phone charges will be files against his company for harrasment.

I kept receiving calls from Pentagroup Financial for a woman with same last name as me only her first name is Amber (I'm listed in the phone book with only my first initial).  I finally looked up Pentagroup online and called them and was told I'd be taken off their list.  About a month has gone by and now the calls have started again, asking for her to return the call to 866-384-6884.  I have no idea if this company is real or not but I'm really tired of receiving calls from them every single day.

Debt collectors are not to call you if you tell them not to call your number anymore, they are money hungry and will not stop calling.  Debt collectors do not care if you are sick or not, if you have lost your home, if someone passes they continue to call.  You can be on the do not call list they still call you.  It does not matter to them.  If people can't make a 10.00 pmt what makes them think you can pay hundreds or thousands of dollars, they are cruel cold and have no conscience about themselves or others.  They call at 8AM until 9PM.  It is ridiculous that this is allowed by law.  And the FTC is no help either, they say contact them and they don't help either.

For 3 years we have received a computer generated message for some one named Charles J R.  We were given this home number through AT & T.  Please remove our number from their list.
