ID reads "Toll Free call". with some digging, this is the Altman group- a company most likely calling to get you to vote your shares of a stock you own.  Past experience says they will keep calling with increasing frequency as the date of the meeting nears.  My advice is block the number or answer and vote. They dont care if you only own 2 shares out of billions and they don't give up.

Just tell them to vote all your share AGAINST managements recommendations and vote against all directors.  That normally stops them from calling again.

Caller ("Gary Fernandez") called my wife's cell phone over owned shares in Prospect Capital Corp.  Asked to be called back between 9a - 11pm.  Blocked caller number.

They don't stop calling, even if you tell them you don't do business over the telephone. Blocked.

Not Spam - I wn their stock and this was a call about a Proxy Vote

This may be legit, we own Prospect Capital as well, but if a caller doesn't bother to leave a message then I have NO TIME to answer.  It CANNOT be that important to them!!!

I have received 29 -- count 'em -- 29 calls from this number since November 22, 2014.

This is NOT a telemarketer as we usually understand the term. The number belongs to AST Fund Solutions, which is a legitimate firm used by legitimate companies to inform their shareholders about proxy issues. I would not waste a spot in my call block list on them as they usually only call one time.

I did not get a call from that number. I got mail (paper) from Prospect Capital, of which I am a shareholder, with this telephone number printed on it along with a reference number. I just called the phone number and yes, they wanted me to do my proxy votes (two executives and one motion), which I did over the phone.

I am up to 17 this week.

These [***] have called 8 times in the last hour on behalf  of Prospect Capital. The call shows a blocked ID "Unavailable." Best reason I can think of to sell the goddamned shares.

They don't just call one time.   I just got 5 calls about 1 minute apart each.  And they have called many times before.  I just got frustrated and checked the number.  Happy to find this.

Whoever this is, they have calledl 4-5 times per night the last couple of nights.  No message.  We blocked their number.

No one there after answering - tried to call back but went on hold and no one ever answered.

It's an automated solicitor. They keep calling & using up my phone minutes. They need to be reported. I'm on the DO NOT CALL list.

Yup they call 6 times per day every day.  I too will sell my shares for this reason.  One minute afterthey called from this number, they called from 844-235-7558.  The display read 800 service again.  Why are they doing this?  It scares me to death.

Update.  Call number 8 today just came in since my pist 45 minutes.  The kicker is that I have a call blocker so every time they call, they automatically get disconnected befor the first ring gets out!  Why the Hell would keep on calling?

Agree that it is AST Fund Solutions soliciting proxy votes on behalf of Prospect Capital, based on the information here, as well as the fact that I am a recent form owner of PSEC shares.  I also got the letter in the mail.  Doesn't matter, they call several times/day, I answer, no response.  I blocked the number through my phone provider.  Futher info, they are soliciting shareholder votes for an additional share offering in an effort to raise cash.  In case you don't know it, this dilutes the shares and immediately reduces the value of any shares you own.  They want more cash to invest in other businesses.  Not saying it is necessarily the wrong thing to do, just passing along the facts.  I no longer hold share of this company.
