calls every day message half there caller says urgent message

I receive a phone call from this number every day

This number called me today.

If anyone gets a call from an 866 number stating to be Alliance one, do not give out any personal info!!!! I just got a call from 866-413-8098 and they said they were alliance one calling in behalf of TD. Now having no dealings with them, and telling them that, I asked what this was about. They said they wanted to verify my ID by giving them my birthdate. I told them I would not give them that info and he abruptly said, "ok then, good bye." I have been informed that this is a common scam.

I just had the very same call as you Denny.  I just listened to the message...didn't say anything....they hung up

I can confirm these people are a collection agency called Alliance. TD bank sells them their bad debts. They are not TD or even really working on behalf of TD. TD has written off whomever had the debt and are done with it, but they allow Alliance to access TD systems to assist them in collecting. They can even scoop money out of your TD account with TD's help. It would not be wise to give them any personal information.

Rec'v the second call within the past 4 days...  Again, I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a msg.  Wouldn't surprise me if this is a TD C/A, as I have 3 x 10+yr old debts with TD, and I also notified TD near end of last year that should they wish to resolve the accounts, they are formally instructed to initiate legal action.  It would appear that they may have sold the debts as Mac (above) indicated (i/e: finally written the defaulted accounts off); hence why I'm thinking I may have to repeat the process with that agency, too..

In the interim, until I rec'v paperwork from this agency, I just now added them to the call blocker on my cel phone.

I have gotten these calls twice a day for two weeks, but i don't care I let voice mail grab it, If you send a registered letter saying basically take me to court the calls will stop, there is a 2 year limitation to take you to court, as week a lot of creditors pass on the debt and the collection sats they represent even tho they don't, this way the beat the consumer rules, do be scared of these guys be informed and fight back,

DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS # !!!
If legit they wud knot b afraid the post their caller ID/display !!!
So, file their # w the pesky telemarketers !!!

Bad reputation for TD/CanadaTrust & TD shud b ashamed of this behaviour !
