Lake Michigan Credit Union calling to verify a Visa Debit purchase.

This number claim to be from the credit union if they were they wouldn't need to ask anything about my social security number. When I check my balance it seemed okay very suspicious call

I should have mentioned on my last post when they called this robocall said call the number on the back of your card, very clever, when I called the number on the back of the card they're closed on the weekends 😕

They're calling to verify charges on your card. They need the last 4 digits of your SSN to confirm that you're really you. If you refuse to confirm the charges, they'll probably lock your account, genius.

Longtime LMCU client. Called Member Services NOT the number that called me. Stated it was NOT their number. Scammer claiming to be LMCU.

Calle LMCU credit card dept.  they indicated that it is their fraud prevention number. Interesting

Received call, claiming to be fraud prevention for lake michigan credit union. Called number on the back of our card to verify, and it was correct. They or Visa, use overseas calling centers for their fraud dept.

LMCU's fraud prevention dept.  Calling to confirm a "red flag" purchase on the card. Yes, they do ask for last 4 of soc just like any time you call regarding your account.  Slim posted it best.  Always call the number on the back of your card.

LMCU robocall as well. Now called 3 times in 2 days. Last 2, no message was left.

Just chiming in to say this is actually a legitimate robo call from Lake Michigan Credit union. You are getting this instead of a person because suspicious activity occurred with your account during their non business hours. I had someone hack my lmcu debit card and steal $100. When I got this call I assumed it was the same persons trying to trick me out of more personal info so hung up. Was told later when speaking to a real rep that the robo call was genuinely from them.

Legitimate call from Lake Michigan Credit Union verifying a purchase I had just made. It did not ask for any personal information. I just had to press one to verify the purchase they described which was the one I had just made.

Called about a purchase. Shame I don't have an account with LMCU and never have. I don't use their ATMs.

Called about possible fraudulent transactions? I verified my last 4 digits and then I got sent to a woman who spoke broken English. Thought this was suspicious to begin with because lmcu is headquartered in Michigan. She listed a few of my recent transactions and I confirmed them. She also asked for my zip code and the day I was born. I was suspicious so I questioned why I was getting this call for just a regular transaction like lunch. I asked her why these transactions were flagged and she didn’t have a clear answer. She gave me a number to call and told me since I confirmed the transactions that she would leave my account open. My brother actually works for LMCU so I will be asking him about this.
