Caller identified herself as Jennifer Peters. She said she was calling about payment changes to my federal student loans. It was highly suspicious that she didn't state my name or the loan company name, but otherwise she sounded more convincing than most scam calls. I found complaints of the same name calling from other numbers for the same reason and those people not having student loans. I am positive that this is a scam, do not call back.

Message from Jennifer Peters calling about my student loan. I'm 54 -- I paid off my student loans 30 years ago. Definitely a scam.

Identified herself as Jennifer Peters. Calling about unpaid federal student loans. I'm 69 years old.  Gave reference number 055508, which is the same number she gave to the person above me. Definite scam. Called and left same message from two different numbers.

I get this call sometimes 2 or 3 times a day! My student loans are taken care of. Also every time she calls it automatically goes to vm...my phone rings once so part of the scam is getting you to call them back!

I had the same experience as everyone else.  Jennifer Peters calling about my Federal student loans.  Reference number 055508.  The caller id showed (501) 424-4175, which is an Arkansas number.  If you google both numbers, they ID as Fedex package tracking.

Same as others - Fed Student Loans repayment scam. Fake voice recording "Jennifer Peters" with lots of "ums" to sound human. Other recordings used other name (always female). Same 866-416-7887 and same Ref #. The actually robo call came from 301-690-9826 & other "local" numbers.

I have figured out that this is a recording. Same reference number as everyone else and "Jennifer Peters" makes the exact same pauses and everything in her repeated messages to my voicemail.

I've gotten numerous calls from this number. The women says she is Jennifer Peter's calling about my federal student loans, regarding new changes that have taken effect. Leaves reference number 055508, which is the exact same as other people on this board. Definitely seems like a
    scam.
