Harassing calls

Next time Dawn Laban calls ask her how much money she owes people!!! Look up Norfolk Virginia  Court Records

My grandfather who lives in Louisiana and I in Alabama called me and said that a Serjio Garcia called him for my info. I do not speak to my grandfather a lot and I didn't even have their house number. WTH?! I'm totally seeing if I can sue.

this number keeps calling my mother in law won't give out info to her but keeps leaving number for someone to get back to them

Someone called my disabled husband.  I told her she was asleep and she asked me to have him call her back.  I asked who she was and she told me Gwendolyn Knight.  She never identified what company she represented, which is against the law if she is calling about a debt. His first name is David.

I have received calls....I have told the caller that the bill they were calling about had been paid....They continue to call...I have told them more than once If they had proof I owed the debt to take me to court, because I have proof the bill had been paid....I received another call today....my sister-in-law answered  they only left a number 866-428-6589......I decided to put the number in search and it brought me to this site.....I am happy to know I am not alone......

Well if you read a lot of people are getting harassed that DO PAY THEIR BILLS because the COMPANY can not get their INFORMATION correct. ....

I still get harassing calls for a woman they NEVER HAS been anywhere near me or my address...

This thread is to complain on the treatment of the company and their calls. It is not a soap boxey thread for people to throw stones, with absolutely ZERO knowledge on who they are speaking to. Everyone does not know everyone else's story. Why get on a thread and start bashing people?  And the people that didn't pay bills are the bad people right?   Going out of your way to bash people is cool  or preach to adults, but not paying a bill for what ever reason is just WRONG.... hahahahah people ..

This person called my husbands parents, phone. I have not called them back yet, I instead ran my credit, & do not show a debt on my report from this company. Even if I had a debt in collections, I would go back to the company that sent the bill to collections, & settle up directly with them.

My parents just received a call from Portfolio Recovery Collection Company.....they asked for me (with my maiden name) and my mom stated that I don't live there. They requested information so they can contact me and my mother refused and took their number.

After I contacted the company, no knowing why they are calling.  Leah, a collector there stated that I had a bill for $144.85 that I owed the company and they were trying to collect it today!  I requested additional information on the bill, she stated the following!!!

THIS IS A BILL FROM SW BELL FROM MAY 1998.  

First off....13 years later!!!!! WHAT!!!!  I told her that I thought this was a scam and I needed original information from SW Bell.  Come to find out, the company no longer exists!!!!  So how can 13 years after a "supposed" bill.....they are just now contacting me for it?????


I have emailed the CEO, VP, Asst VP inquiring on their policies and the statute of limitations!!!! I have not lived in MO for 11 years!!! I cannot confirm or deny that an original bill exists but either they need to come up with all the original billing details or they need to stop calling my family and leaving messages.

One more call from the company and I am filing charges and suing the company for harrassment!!!!

This number is a scam and the company also. My phone continues to ring from them...no money from me they are looking for someone else that used my number. I have never heard of the person they are looking for I tried to tell them and they just get another person in the office to call

If you receive a notice from the address of PO Box 1259 Dept 9505 Oaks PA - (which comes up when you google this address) - it is from the Cox Comm. Collection Dept informing you of a past due bill.

Where do yuo mail your letter to?

These people are calling with a scam line that I owe them a back debt.

This company called my mother. When I caled this number back and explained who I was and asked what this is a bill for they hung up on me. This is not the way to get me to pay a bill if I even do owe it.

You are so ignorant. Its not about whining these people never contacted ME and my number has never changed. Plus when I called them back to inquire about the call they hung up on me. JUST SAYING that is NOT the way to handle business weither they are sharks or NOT.

I have some debts, its a fact.  I have called my debt collecting companies and worked out equitable payment arrangements - with the exception of this company.  An agent, I will just call H, refused to look at a reduction in the cost they tell me I now owe - and screams at me.  

Because I have dealt with other companies I know from my own experience that it is true about catching more flies with honey than vinegar.  I told H that she needed to calm down or I would be hanging up, which I ended up doing.  Then I do a reverse look up on the number and am not surprised.  I imagine H has her own bills to deal with I feel sorry for her that she is led to believe that the only way to achieve her objective is by attacking.  

Should I hear from this company again, as I am sure I will, they had better have someone else call me.
