This is a company called Human Arc (I believe that's the name).  They have been hired by CalOptima (a MediCal subcontractor) to assist MediCal patients apply for Social Security Supplemental Income or Social Security Disability Insurance benefits.

Is it legit or a scam

Scam.

They want my social security number and want to talk to me about my disability.

I actually checked into it. One of my very best friends has 2 disabled sons- 1 of them has autism so badly he'll never be able to care for himself so he was approved for SSI easily. The other son is on the spectrum so he was denied twice then Human Arc reached out to her & finally got her youngest son approved for SSI as well. She told me to cooperate with them as they've contacted me pertaining to my special needs son & helping him get approved as well. We'll see..

The business is Centauri Health Solutions. I received there number through Care 1st, as a Care 1st member. The phone number on paper is 18664540411. The rep gave me a second number which is, 18664315025.
