- kathy| 1 replythey never leave a message, call several times a day on my work number which i am not allowed to have personal calls on and i can't get them to stop. they even call on the weekends!
- Caller: ??
- Bryan| 2 repliesThis is an attempt by ACT to try and collect a debt. It's quite annoying. I've reported the number because I am on the do not call list, but they continue to call. I may not fit the criteria to have them stop calling though because I do actually have debt lol. However, for those of you that have not done any business with them report the number. A man in Texas was just awarded $1.5M for harassing calls from these ppl. They told him to go pick some cotton (and yes he is black). As well as making sexual comments about his wife. It is extremely excessive and beyond harassing. Report these debt collectors!

- tim mcmurray| 3 repliesThey call constently and from several different numbers (866-312-8374, 866-445-6548,866-478-4765, 866-478-4757, 866-372-8643) and everytime i ask them what their business is or who they are calling on behalf of they refuse to tell me or disconnect really starting to piss me off. Actually had to go as far as adding them into my contacts list just so i can set their ring tone as silent.
- Caller: ACT
- JeffKeep calling constantly and when I answer no one talks.
- Alisha| 1 replyThis is ACT... They call about every hour to every other hour and change numbers daily.... I save the numbers in my phone so that it goes straight to VM... They do not leave messages, and when you answer they ask for personal information... I do not give personal information to people who call me... If you call back, they answer the phone as though you were on hold for them, when it actually rings directly to a person and not a menu...

DEBT COLLECTOR *****REPORT CALLS TO FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION (FTC)*****
If you do not report the calls they can not act on them!! It maybe annoying to report them and it appears nothing gets done, but the more they are reported and with mulitple numbers we may get the FTC to investigate the company as a whole, but you "NEED TO REPORT THE CALLS" no matter how many different numbers and how many times they call if everyone reported every call from ALL numbers it would be an amazing number of calls!! This company is currently getting away with calling repeatly on a daily basis starting at 8:00 AM (or possibly earlier) and it continues all day!!
Please help stop this company REPORT YOUR CALLS!!
Thank you for your attention!- Caller: ACCT

- ridiculousthey call every two hours on my cell phone i too have put them into my contacts so i can see who it is and not to answer it. this is totally harassment. this company needs to be stopped. They call from 8 in the morning til 8:30 at night.
- Call type: Debt collector
- U9nemployed| 5 repliesHow do you report these calls to the FTC? Do they have a website? We have called all our creditors and told them we have no income and would call back when we cold make arrangements, but they all start calling again within days asking the same questions we just answered. I know we owe money, but we have to feed our family first and take care of the necessities, before we pay a credit bill.

www.ftc.com (Consumer Protection tab; then FILE A COMPLAINT tab)
keep a notebook/log of all calls (date, time, and number as they change them every several days)

I have also dropped one of these "ADORABLE" little Cease & Desist Communication Letters in the mail as well! The information in Brackets [ ] should be in a nice bright BLUE or RED color for emphesis!! This site will not let me paste it in it's proper coloring. :(

- JackieMJust finished reporting the number to the FTC. The link in the previous message for some strange reason did not work with Google. Had to type in just FTC and I got to the home page from there. Then clicked on area corresponding to filing a complaint.
ALSO, verify you ARE on the National Do Not Call Registry! I did and discovered I wan't on it any longer!!! So had to refile with them and did so immediately.
Good luck everyone, hoping you al learn who this is calling us from this number since to date no one has answered me when I say hello, dead line yet they call nearly every hour beginning at 7:48AM. - JackieM replies to Tired of Harassment! The link you have here did not work for me on Google so had to hit the Google suggestion to get to their home page.
Filed complaint...Thank you for reminding us all that we could do this!
God bless and am very sorry for your troubles, hope you find work soon....So many these days are unemployed my heart goes out to you all. I thank God I'm retired these years, while my small pension and SS don't go as far as they did when I first retired at least I do have some income.
Good luck to you. - Holly BolingerI just got a new phone from Verizon, activated yesterday, and have received multiple calls from 866-445-6548, which appears to be an automated debt collection service. No one is on the line to request that they stop calling.

- AlsoUnemployed replies to U9nemployed| 1 replyI love reading that I'm not the only one that feels this way or that this is happening to. They are rude, pushy and hang up when they don't hear what they want. I've tried being proactive to avoid calls, but they don't care. I've actually been on the phone with a person there when another call beeped in - and I know now that it's the same place. Crazy. It doesn't matter if you're nice and cooperative or just as rude as they are. Just had a baby and would rather get food for him - right?!!! and pay the important bills. Good luck to us all!!!
