Saying this is a debt collector for collections yet have no unpaid debts

Answered since it was an 800 number and recorded message said I was 90 days over due and was in the hands of a debt collector. Letter had been sent to my address and to call different 800 number. Could not write down said number in time. No debt collector name given nor the amount or where from. No unpaid debt. Feels scammy

Received several calls from this number. I finally called back, lady had some pertinent info but not correct address. It was some cash advance nonsense. When I told her I was retired and never used any type cash advance, she switched gears stating I had two options, pay a certain amount tonight or go to court. She stated several legal docs have been mailed....blah blah but she could not provide an address. When I really pressed her she came up with an address in another state where I have never lived.  I replied, send me any info you have showing I ever took out any such cash loan and documentation / signature etc. and I will be happy to go to court. Silence... The whole conversation when on and on and got to the point where I simply hung up.
