called and hungup. I was recently called by Charter cable a few times. Might be them.

They said they were from 24-Hour Fitness looking for my wife.  Her membership expires this month and they probably just want her to renew.

Multiple calls from this number trying to sell me 24-hour Fitness membership.  Even though I had renewed directly with 24 they still called me.  When I called the number back the recorded welcome message say they are 'ADP'.  Not sure how legit this is.

Caller convinced my wife to renew her 24hour fitness club membership. Promises that turned out to be incorrect were made: contract was supposed to be for 13 instead of 12 months, contract was supposed to start ten days later after current contract had expired, contract was supposed to include access to more clubs than available for 'regular' offers. All promises turned out to be not true when the contract confirmation was sent: contract started right away on that day, contract was for exactly 12 months, access level was exactly as the online deal, nothing special. When dealing with them take note of agent name, agent ID, time and date, get contact details for cancellation (fax and phone).

Called back the number, and got a sales office for NUANCE COMMUNICATIONS http://www.nuance.com/(or a subcontractor body shop where cold calls originate).

Nuance is a software company that sells software like DRAGON, which converts speech to text, etc.

Multiple weekly calls from this number, Nuance telemarketing trying to upgrade and sell additional items.

I got a call wanting me to upgrade to the latest version of NUANCE's Professional pdf.  He said that even though I qualified for an upgrade price on-line, that he could save me $20.00 by upgrading through him, Ron Lavin.  He claimed to be calling from the NUANCE Sales Dept.

I explained to him that I would not give someone that called me my credit card number over the phone.  

On-line, I could find no upgrade price and that the price he quoted was indeed $20.00 less than the full version.  Nothing showed that the version was indeed a new recent update as claimed or had the great new features that he spoke of.  This could all be legit, but I am skeptical.

Received a call from this numberand they immediately hung up. Called them back and got a message to press 1 if I wanted to be added to the Do Not Call list and 2 to speak to a rep.

I pressed 2 and the rep said they were Nuance software but would not give me any more information since I wouldn't say who I was.

Nuance.com sells software like Dragon text to speech and PaperPort.

Phone rang, I answered and there was no response. Called back and waas told it was Nuance software. I was given the option of pressing 1 to put my number on the do not call list. I did so. Will see if it works.

This number has called me about a dozen times in the last week, but nobody talks - they promptly hang up.  Very annoying.

Calls and hangs up all the time (at least twice a week). Got on here and read comments. Sure enough, it's Nuance (we have Nuance PDF). Called the number back and put us on the do not call list.

Called these guys.  Selected option 2 to speak to a sales representative.  Asked her to advise her sales team that if they were interested in selling us software that they should not just hang up after dialing us.  She did not appreciate my request.  We're not likely to purchase Nuance software anymore and will advise our clients the same.  We also entered their numbe ron the do not call list.  We'll see if it works.

I have been getting calls from this number for several weeks. 3 to 5 times per week. I never answer the phone as my caller ID simply says "Toll Free Call". Tonight (Oct 22) I called the number back and, as other people have posted, it was Nuance software. I am a registered user of their PaperPort software. I pressed 1 to be placed on their Do Not Call list. I hope it works.

I receive at least one call per day and sometimes as many as three.  The caller hangs up when I answer the phone.
There are usually 4 - 5 calls each weekend day...they never leave a message.
I have called the number and followed the instructions for removing my number from the call list.  
Computer voice assures me I have been removed...

I am also a registered user of Nuance software. Their 1-866 calls are driving me crazy because they wait until my voicemail kicks in and then they hang up. This causes my next incoming calls to go directly to voicemail. Very annoying!

I spoke with Michelle today and requested that I be put on their do-not-call list. It should be interesting to see whether they comply. If they don't (after 30 days - their 'window' according to Michelle) then I will definelty esclate this.

We purchased Nuance software couple years ago and gave strict instructions they were barred from advertising to us in any way shape or form and could not share any of our data in any way, shape, or form.  Now we are getting no-message calls from this number.  Came to this website and saw where it was coming from.  I really like their software but am submitting complaint to the BBB if they are going to do this.  We are on the National DoNot Call Registry.

This number calls EVERYDAY!!

I have had this company call me numerous times.....I have asked for them to remove me form their calling list...i.e. put me on thier do not call list..
Anyway have done this 3 x and guess what they just called me again...
Is there not a way to have these people charged?

I too put my name on their do not call.  They still keep calling.  :o(
