Wells Fargo Bank - I.D. Prevention loss and fraud department.

Received a call from a restricted number and was given this toll free number by the caller. Sounds legit though I am concerned about the personal and private information they asked me.

Thank you Storm for the information. I received a voice mail from this number and because they left an important message regarding my bank card, i returned the call. They introduced themselves as reps. of WFB from the fraud prevention department. And because i lost my bank cards sometime ago, i was so anxious to return this type of call since it could be about some reports re my lost items. I was asked some personal questions, too, but i only answered some of them because although they sounded legit, i had this feeling that they could be phishing too. So, what i did was to call the bank number that i've been calling whenever i have concerns beginning with the 1-800 number.  I was so shocked when the person i talked to told me, the 1-866 number does not appear in their company's list of phone numbers. I was thankful i have not given every single detail that they asked me. The bank rep. advised me not to return such calls even if they left a number to call, but instead call the company's contact numbers in their  secured website. i was advised to be very careful especially during these hard times. And this advice i'd like to share with everyone.

Thank you!!! Just got a call from them today. Won't return that call!
