Text emplyment/invome verification. Case pending. No idea what it is

Received a text saying: (My name) Case pending employment/income verification only. No further action needed. Ref: 2026-322124 866-469-1311.

Same text as above.  Must be a scammer

I received the same txt message today at 1:20pm CT. Message came from number +1 619-257-1753

They left me a text message with my name and case verification and a place I use to work at saying no action needed 866-469-1311 with a referene number

I received the same message today. Was thinking it was a scam

Actually, there are 5 actions that need to be taken:
1) Forward the text to 7726 (SPAM) so your service provider knows about it.
2) Report this scam to ReportFraudFTC.gov.
3) Block the number the text was sent from.
4) Do not waste time even thinking of replying back to them.
5) Forget about it and enjoy your life.

I've received 2 different messages from that same number about employment verification.  And always a case number.  And a company name.  I know the company and this bothers me.  It's been 12 years since I was there.

Is yours coming from a place in Ft. Stockton area ?  I've gotten 2 if them.  Driving me crazy

Do not let it.
This is a scam, and apparently the scammers are using very old information for the people they contact.  If your do not reply, they cannot do anything other than annoy you with further texts before they give up on you as a possible victim.
Read my post, above your first post, for what you should do.

I had the same exact thing with a company that I worked for 14 years ago.
