100% Scam. Said he was calling from Rogers  AT&T. Dude, AT&T has not been part of Rogers for over 15 years.

He didn't know he was calling Canada!!!

This number calls our home phone we answer but no one on the other end

6 rings, no voice message.  Scam.  Catch it, Charge it, Jail it or send it back to where it came from.  Castration at airport optional. :-)

Yes they are scammers but how do they get out names numbers and how do they know that we are with Rogers

I called back the number and the woman answered Hello instead of Rogers guess that she forgot.  SICK OF THOSE SCAMMERS.

I agree with all the above. They call everyday and the display says ROGERS, however ROGERS doesn't bother regular customers in this manner. This spoof number call, or whatever, never leaves a message. An obvious scam. Beware, don't answer.

Claimed to call on behalf of Rogers to offer discounts on a mobile plan for existing subscribers; I actually think that this is a legit offer, but that doesn't mean they get to call my house 2x a day every single freaking day trying to sell me their dang cell phone services. Cripes.

This is not a Rogers number. Claims to be but they are not. they called twice within a Span of 10 minutes.  I have blocked them before. (With Rogers and with Bell you can ask customer service to add you on their  “do not call” list. you have to renew it every 2 to 3 years) Even with being on the do not call list (DNCL) here in Canada they still call. Last week got a call from area code 412 claiming that they were with Rogers very pushy, I told him I’m on the do not call list with Rogers & on (DNCL) he didn’t care, kept talking, hung up, instantly blocked.
Software/apps spoof numbers all the time it should be illegal. All calls Indian with accents.

Well, yeah, scammers don't care if you're on the DNCL so of course they still call.
Do you really think criminals won't do something if it's illegal?

I called rogers and they confirmed that this was not their number.

Comes up rogers.....call everyday about cell phone plans. Told them to quit calling but they still call!

Called me with caller ID as “Rogers”.
Obviously a scam based on other comments here however my problem is not with these scammers, my problem is with Rogers.
I recently signed up for internet a couple months ago, never been a Rogers customer before. Clearly, they have sold my information already if scammers are calling me pretending to be them. I would like to know what information of mine has been sold. They have my phone number so do they have my address, date of birth and SIN as well?

I never consented to any of this and/or signed anything so why is Rogers selling my information so quick…. absolutely disgusting you guys are complete trash.

It's more likely the scammers are simply playing the odds that people in a certain area have services from Rogers.

When i signed up with Bell years ago the man on the other end was from India in India. . Our phone companies hire from different countries for customer service jobs to save a ton of money.  This is what i said to him YOU DO KNOW THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE IN OUR COUNTRY THAT COULD USE THESE JOBS. Then i hung up in absolute disgust and disbelief.  How dare these phone and internet /cable business's do this to our countries.  Its wrong. They make enough damn money. That's just my opinion....

But what does all that have to do with this phone number?
