Keeps calling no ID and no message gets me out if bed

Called several times. Starting to leave messages. He will say, Hello, hello, hello, and then hang up.

This number called my business. I picked it up and it disconnected.
I called the number back (it is toll free), got a live person. This number is from Business Direct Online. They're an online business directory. He told me they use an auto-dialer and offered to remove my number from the computer so it wouldn't call anymore. I gave him the number. He was very polite and courteous about the situation and didn't waste any time or try to sell me anything.

Called and verified our business contact information. Asked us to wait to get supervisor on line to verify call. (I knew they were selling something then.) Asked if I was over 18. Asked if I was authorized to incur charges on our phone line. That's when I told them I would NOT authorize them to add any charges to our bill and asked them to remove our number from their call list. Not sure what they wanted to sell us but it would have showed up on our phone bill in a couple months.

Same thing happened to me, accept they did not speak clearly and the bartender confirmed the business information. I got charged for 5 months and two months into it they started charging me twice. I was refunded by verizon in full and had to call and cancell comething i never signed up for. Reporting them to BBB today! Tell employees not to agree to anything and hang up -

Never even SPOKE to these people and I get a letter on 4-15 that says they have confirmed my internet profile and are going to charge me $39.95 for it unless I cancel with them.  I can't get through on the 866-469-5284 number as it states they are experiencing a high volume of calls and I'd have to try back later.

These people keep slamming my phone bill for $39.95.  Even when you tell them you do not want the service, you still get billed.  If a confirmation letter is sent it is well after the 14 day trial period.  I have not been able to get through to the customer service number.  A different phone number was on the phone bill and through that I was able to get a refund but then they called again the following month to set up my "Internet Profile".

I was called on 04/11/08 to confirm information for a free internet listing.  On 4/26/08 I received a letter confirming that a fee of 39.95 per month will be charged on my phone bill unless I cancel the service by 4/25/08. This is a blatent example of "slamming".  I will notify my telephone provider of the nature of this illegal activity.

Got confirmation letter in mail w/ NO date on letter.  Letter stated that we now have our own internet profile - WHICH I DID NOT AUTHORIZE !
reading on down it says out local phone bill be billed on the "ILD" page ( what's that ? )  unless cancelled by us.
I have called an repeatedly get a busy signal
I'll watch my phone bill carefully for the next 2 months - and call the phone company to report this fraudlent activity.
A small Business in Northern California.

The company name that is calling is Business Direct Online from the 8664695284 number, and the third party billing company is ILD at 8004334518. I attempted to get a number from ILD for Business Direct Online but was told by 3 people that they do not have a number for them and that I will receive one when my package arrives that they cannot check to see if I am being scammed or not. Web search of ILD does not ease my concerns any. I will update this if I get a good number for Business Direct Online.

Let me tell you, the web profile really works!!!  My business has grown since people are able to look me up online!  This is a great service and not a scam.  The web site does exist.

Unlisted name. #866-469-5284 No one there but repeated everything I said like an echo chamber. If we find them can we hang them? They are pests.[I am being polite]

This is an awesome service, they called me and very politely verified my business information, they well-explained me about the 14 days free trial and that I was going to be charged, I agreed to the web profile and my business increased sales over 20% monthly

Received this call in NC.  Wanted to verify I was over 18 and authorized to use the phone and accept charges on behalf of the business.  I told them I was not interested in any charges and they said we would not be charged but wanted to make sure I was authorized to accept charges.  She hung up after I said twice I was authorized to talk but not to accept charges.

Got the same Welcome letter as described above.  No answer on the "Customer Service" number provided, but I did talk to ILD (800-433-4518), and the representative there said they had no billing activity for any of my phone numbers on behalf of BDO.  I'm calling AT&T next to have them block any charges to the line.  Suggest any of you who got the letter call ILD and your local phone company.  Good luck!
