They call to offer their mortage customers optional insurance products. There was no company name when I called. Just a recording

Calls started on June 3. Call about every other day, including one Saturday. Their caller name shows as TOLL FREE. Today, however, the same number came in as UNAVAILABLE NAME.  Must not be important enough for them to identify themselves or leave a message, so why should it be important for me. Hope they get tired of no one answering. I'm unavailable too!  Thanks for this site.

I get calls from this number almost daily. I, too, haven't picked up. No message left. Wish they'd quit. This has been going on for months without me answering.

24 calls in two weeks from this number. Finally answered it and it disconnected... Called back and got a message to push 1 to be removed from their call list. We'll see if it works or not...

This company has been calling our house for over 3 weeks.  They usually call during the day when we aren't home.  However they also call in the evenings and on the weekends.  They have been calling nearly every day.

As someone else mentioned, if this was important enough for them to call every day they should leave a message.  Hell, they wouldn't even talk to my wife when she decided to answer one night, they told her it was "confidential" and that they couldn't even tell her who they were or why they wanted to talk to me.

I called the number from the Caller ID back and just as someone else said there is a recording that says "The purpose for our call was to off our mortgage customers optional insurance".  They then say that you can have your number added to their *clients* no call list by pressing the number 1.  

If you stay on the line and dont press anything, after about 15 seconds there is a second recording that says "If you would like to speak to one of our managers, hang up and call 402-963-6835".  So, when I called that number I got an answering machine that said "Hello, you've reached Greg Peters with Sitel Corporation, I can't come to the phone right now....."

I found a listing for Sitel Corporation in Nebraska (where the 402 area code is from).  They are a telemarketing company, and apparently a huge global company.

I called back the original 866-469-5354 number and pressed the #1 to have my name removed from the call list, and after entering a number it says "Thank you, we will forward your removal request to our client Minnesota Life".

So... that's about it, as much info as I could find, lol.

I did not answer and will not answer unavailable.  Thye have called M-F for 2wks.  I will not answer.  I will report with the State Attoney Generals Office..That is everyones best bet.

Irish has done some good research-however, don't be fooled ! Sitel Corporation is owned by Clientlogic--a little harder to check out.
In todays economy the telemarketing business has got to suck-besides, most mortgages require you to have insurance anyway-check out Sitels services-COLLECTIONS- Now that makes more sense why a company would incessantly call making bogus offers. They already have your mortgage company, that's public record-all they have to do is catch you-I know it's supposed to be illegal but I also know for a fact they do it. Just check your caller ID and ignore them !

I get daily calls from this company who never leaves a mesage, the calls are three a day early a.m., mid day, and late and night.  It drives me cracy because I'm elderly and retired, and having different patterns of sleep this caller always seems to call when I'm asleep, and several times during the day: I have caler ID/ how can we find out the name of the company to notfy them to S T O P

They are a Nebraska telemarketing company pushing, in my case at least, a product for a mortgage insurance company. The calls started after applying on-line for home mortgage re-financing quotes (big mistake!!).  Never again will I give out my phone number on-line.  The telemarketing company's name is "The Sitel Corporation" out of Nebraska.  Find more info on the company here:

I have received phone calls from this number three times a day, every day for over a month.  The caller ID is not provided.  I checked this web site to see what was up.  This is ridiculous.  I will never answer that number and never call them back.  When does it end with this intrusive behavior?

13 calls in 11 days. No messages! I have not applied for a new mortgage but my mortgage was sold to BB&T by Castle

I have a feeling it must be BB&T after reading these posts.  Same thing with me... calls all day...never get anyone.  I started getting these after BB&T SOLICITED me for refinancing my equity loan.  My number is unlisted too.

I had exact same experience as Irish (except I didn't go so far as to call Sitel directly). Our number is also on the Do Not Call list. Since we have no relationship with Minnesota life or Sitel, I filed a complaint with Do Not Call Registry here:
