    Late Payment
Got several calls over a two day period from Unknown Caller (on caller ID) however they finally got through by waking me up one morning, seems I had a pass due payment and they were calling to remind me. I got their phone number and did some research, checked my account online and found I had opted for email notifications and my spam blocker had trapped the bill, so my payment was late...dang it, was looking for snail mail!

Monthly payment was overdue. They don't leave a message and caller ID says 'unavailable' because they want to catch people ducking them. What the guy didn't seem to comprehend is that by hiding who they were, I was not answering the phone, thinking they were telemarketers. So then I have no way of knowing there's a problem.

Guy just kept saying, "we're calling you because you're late on payment." And I kept saying, "well if you told me who you were I could make payment!"

These clowns are pretending to be from Barclays Bank. They aren't. Ask them who they work for, and they will start to stammer. They use the name Business Card Services. When I pressed the guy about who he worked for, he hung up.

Calls from 866-469-5975 come from a company named TSYS. Here is their website: http://www.tsys.com/Solutions/program_solutions/Cardholder-Servicing.cfm

They are a payment processor for credit card issuers. They also make debt collecton calls, but use the name of the card issuer to make the calls.

Our office gets repeated phone calls from this line - but there is never anyone on the other end.  We get about 6 calls per day.  We have no idea why they are doing this.  I called TSYS and they are trying to determine what is going on.

Legit call.  I was past due on a credit card... they knew my account number, balance, last payment, and the bank account that I normally pay the card with.

Yes, they are legitimate. If you have a business card with Barclays bank and it goes past due they will call you as a courtesy. The calls are computer generated and most times they are dropped. The bad thing is that it looks to them like you are hanging up when they call.

NOT Legitimate.  Received multiple calls from this number - many of which kept me on hold for long periods with no human.  When I finally did get a human, she claimed to be from Barclays.  Asked for personal information to confirm my identity.  I refused and she offered to give me a number to call to give my details.  The number was not a Barclays number.  I called Barclays and they confirmed that this was not them.

It was Barclay Business Card Services. They called because I had a late payment due on my Barclay Business Card which I wasn't aware of. So this was a legit call.

    This is legitimate -
Call was from Barclays Business Card services. They told me they were the in-house collections department to help settle an outstanding debt. Please take this call if you don't want to screw up your credit.

Believe me or don't, but this was legitimate. Call the number on the back of your business card and verify the information.

Even if this call was legitimate for you, thanks to number spoofing that does not mean that calls showing this number are legitimate for others.
