They call and text constantly

Called trying to get my SSN. They hang up as soon as I didn't give them my personal information.

I've received "generic" text messages stating "We have made several attempts to contact you, please call our office at (866) 471-2224 Reference JMR16.....   There's no company name and nothing to indicate what their attempted contacts are about.

Random text message asking me to call. When you call they want your social security number but will not give you any information.

They are from India saying they are a collection company. Wanted to to verify my son. Refuse. They said they will emreport me as a direct refusal to cooperate  and will proceed with the matter. But I know I do not owe anyone anything.

Received a text to call with a reference number. Out of curiosity I replied with STOP. Received a message back stating I've successfully unsubscribed.

I have received multiple calls from this number and text messages.  Just for kicks and giggles, I decided to call it back.  They do not answer with a company name.  They say the call is being recorded and that they are a debt collector.  I let them know very quickly that they were as well on a recorded line and that before I came to work for the DA's office that I was a federal debt collector and that the so called debt was now null and void because they did not read me the mini miranda which I then quoted to them.  I told them to present me with actual documentation of this debt.  I asked for it to be emailed and they told me that they would send it by mail and that I should have it within 3 weeks.  I told them that I would be turning the phone number, all the calls and text that I have received to them to the DA.  Oddly, the lady on the phone hung up promptly.

Have had a couple of calls like this this week alone but from two different numbers that say the exact same thing "We have made several attempts to contact you, please call our office at 866..... or 855.... reference JMR12..."

The same as everyone received random text stating they have made several attempts to contact me and I needed to promptly return their call and reference JOD32764. I owe no one. So I know this is a scam. I just blocked the number. These people just get people’s names that at some point had debt and they think that we’re stupid enough or afraid enough to think we owe some random other debt and we’ll pay them. I’ve had ones that say pay me $500 now and it’ll be settled... these people are sick! Preying on people just trying to get their lives together. Stealing from people who actually work for a living. No wonder they live in squalor over in their crappy countries!! They’re disgusting people!!

Same keep getting TX message and phone calls . It’s a scam .

Hi Mike, the same is thing just happened to me about 5 minutes ago I did not respond to them nor call them. I believe back it is a scam.

I received a text yesterday but I was working at the time. Today I was off so I called them back and they also wanted my ss #. I refused and they hung up. I then proceeded to call them back over a dozen times because it's definitely a scam. A few times I put the phone on mute. Or I called asking for their location. Every time they hung up on me I called right back. Sadly my fun ended when they blocked my number. I'm sick of these scammers so I'm giving it right back at them by being annoying. My advice is to mess right back with them. Lol
