- Irked1-866-485-5355 called our line at least twice. Did not pick up.
- SlickThey called me today, it was TD Canada Trust looking for a bill payment.
- Caller: TD Canada Trust
- Call type: Unwanted
- AnnoyedTotal scam. It left me an automated vcmail with a reference number I don't recognize. TD Canada Trust doesn't use an automated system like this to contact people regarding their accounts and don't cold call to ask you to pay for things over the phone. Scammers fishing for credit card info.
- Caller: TD Canada Trust?
- Call type: Unwanted
- bloopscamm.
called back and it was asking for credit infooo. - Relic28These guys phone repeatedly. When I actually answer the call - there is no response.
- AnnoyedThey call repeatedly and leave voice mail with reference number. Is legit, from TD Canada Trusts payment division, ie collections for accounts that have missed payments or not met minimum for numerous months. If unsure of validity, call TD using the number on the back of your bank card or credit card and verify with a representative through this method and they can transfer you to the department you need to speak with
- Caller: unknown caller
- Call type: Unwanted
- lateCalled and left voicemail quoting a ref. #. I have not called back but was late on my TD Visa payment, so I would imagine it's legit.
- Caller: TD?
- applephone repeatedly. When I actually answer the call - there is no response!!!
DAMN LOOSERS - nanaimowe checked with TD Canada Trust and this is not a legit number. TD said they do not use automated services
- neptune| 1 replyI just got off the phone with legit TD and the rep said they do use automated voice services, although she couldn't find this particular number in the system, she said it's only one off from their account collections, so it might be an extra number they have for the auto message. Or it's a scam.
I'm guessing scam since I've got nothing with TD.
Either way... never trust when they initiate the call. Always get the info from them, give no info, then call back a number you know is legit (not the number they give you) - miltz replies to neptuneI check and what the people above say about TD telling them it is not ligament is true. I checked it out. I reported it to the police. Do the same if you want and dont give any info to them.
- Chriscalled today , saturday at 1:25pm........( est ) .......called , let phone ring 4 times then hung up!
( usual nonsense and stupidity )
F.Y.I .......ANY AND EVERY weird call or phone number i've received on the weekend has been 100% fake / fraud etc , without exception !!!................rule # 1 ) NEVER call the number back. this is what this losers want so they " verify" your number, and the problem will get worse.
IF it is a real and honest / legitimate busineses / company or organization , they WILL leave a correct and valid message with details as to why they are calling etc....- Caller: appears to be fraud / scammer
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Fraud AlertI confirmed with TD Bank that this is indeed a bogus number, and this is a phishing fraud.
The number is fake - not TD Bank. Do not provide any information or respond to the call. Report it immediately to TD Bank and the RCMP Anti-Fraud Center.
http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/- Caller: Phishing Fraud - Not TD Bank
- SCAM ALERTAfter more digging into this number and similar numbers and additional fraud information.
RCMP advise:
1. Collect as much information as possible about the caller.
2. Do not give out any information on yourself with regards to credit cards, etc.
3. Call your bank through a known number, like the one on the back of your card.
4. Verify the information you have collected from the alleged bank representative.
5. If the bank can not verify the information, then report the caller to the appropriate authorities bank, RCMP, Canadian Anti-Fraud Bureau.
The most important thing to understand is never give personal information unless you have initiated the phone call to a known and trusted bank number (back of Credit Card).
The scammers are the ones posting to this blog and others saying "Pay your bills!" or some other phrase to that effect.
Reply ! - So fishy! Scam for sureWas receiving calls from another scam TD phone number (866-485-5354) all last week...I blocked that number on my phone and now they are calling from a phone number one number different? I don't believe TD needs THAT many phone numbers. They actually left an automated phone message this time with a reference number...I have had collections calls from TD in the past and it is never an automated call and they don't leave reference numbers as they can find you by your bank information when you call them back :D I recommend extreme caution if you answer this phone call
- Caller: TD Scam
