Just another scumbag invading my privacy without leaving a message. BLOCKED forever.

Automated caller identifies themselves as Bank of America wishing to speak to a particular name.  It then requests last four digits of social security number as proof for privacy reasons.

THIS IS NOT BANK OF AMERICA.  THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE A NAME AND GIVING THEM THE LAST PART OF YOUR SOCIAL IS ANOTHER PIECE FOR VERIFICATION.  ALL THEY NEED AFTER THAT IS A DATE OF BIRTH.

I do not answer any unknown numbers, but they call every day on the hour til 9pm. The do not call "list" is useless. I do know it is supposed to be Bank of America, I believe it is a scam.

I receive these calls several times a day. Do not answer, they leave message, sometimes they state Important Service matter, the other message states American Express. I  never had American Express Cards, nor do I owe any money. This has been going on since Summer. Last week I had 36 calls. The do not call service does not work.

Never had any accounts with Bank of America they called asking to verify my social before they could give me any information. I said absolutely not if you'd like to send me something in the mail that's fine. Never even asked for my address was ungodly rude and said well I can't to you any info without your social. 100% scam!!

It’s a total SCAM  , I blocked the number

Thanks for this post.  I just got one call, and wondered why they were calling since I don't have any biz with them.

You sound PROUD to be that deeply in debt. And you might want to look up the statute for recovery. It doesn't mean what you think it means.

Finally answered this number they wanted my full social security number said they were from Bank of America scam for sure

"Stop them!!!" yourself. No one here can do it for you. Block the number and move on.

Scam

Automated-Robo called me claiming from Bank of America for a servicing matter. Ummm… I don’t have a Bank of America account, loan, credit card there. Poor scummers. If you called claiming you’re from Wells Fargo, Chase & BBVA I might believed you as I bank there.

Doubtless, scammers will eventually call you claiming to be those banks also.
Unless you have prearranged to have your bank call you, it is always safest not to take any unbidden caller at their work, even if you have accounts with that bank.  Tell them you will call them back on a verified known number (from the back of your card or off a bank statement), and then do so.  If they are legitimate, they will understand your caution, and it they are not, then you will have probably saved yourself from losing money.
