got a 1 second blank voice mail the day after setting up an account with bill me later.

Missed the call from this number this morning.  Here is the transcript of the VM that was left:

I love how they want me to pay 400$ for a bill, for a purchase that never happened, from a paypal account that dosnt exist.

I did setup a Bill Me Later transaction this week, but when the call comes in Toll Free Caller, I do not answer, plus no VM was left either. But now that I know who's calling, I will answer next time. Thanks for the info.

Confirming that this number is a courtesy call from Bill Me Later. (Just opened an account with them this past week.) Thanks to this 800notes.com site, was able to enter this number and identify the caller in time to answer the phone before they hung up. Thanks!

bill me later,doing business with PayPal, collecting money from you bank Account, your Bank Account.

You can't pay their bill with credit card. When you send them check, they will cash it after the due date, therefore you owe  late fee, then you have to send them another new check for that due fee,,,,then again,,,again,,

They don't state correct physical address and the CEO's name, therefore, you can't sue them at small claim court. Court form for sue a business or person needs to fill up defendent's last and first name and address(not POBOX),,,

Then you have to hire a lawyer fighting against them. Because the money you owe is not big sum, I dont think laywers are happy to take your case...

Anyhow, be careful,,,i dont think they are doing good business...
They are saying that they give you convenience, that is lie. They want to know your bank account and take money from there,,,

Ends up the call was legit -- but creepy approach. Seems to be the Security department for Bill Me Later. I had tried opening an account for Bill Me Later via Paypal a few days earlier. Was denied, because I had put a fraud alert for 90 days with all 3 credit bureaus since I recently experienced credit card fraud. So I get 2 calls, saying they were with Bill Me Later -- and each asking me for the last 4 digits of my SS. I said I was uncomfortable with them calling me asking for that. I finally asked the second guy to give me a number to call back -- he did, with a reference number as well. Instead of calling that number, I called the main Bill Me Later # posted on the Web, and explained. They passed me through to "Security," and we opened my account. I would have liked them to say, after I voiced concerns about being called: "If you still have concerns, call the main Bill Me Later number on the Web, and ask for X department." That would have made me feel much more comfortable.

I  have been receiving a phone call from this number. Bill Me Later. I finally got the nerve to call them back. Was asked to put in my date of birth, date and year. So I did. They didn't have me on file. The automated system put me on hold to speak to a rep. Came back online and said that all reps were busy at  this time and gave me the website. I went to the website and found another number to call. I called that toll free number and I got through to a represenative. Told her that I was not that person that they are trying to contact with this phone number. She asked for the number cause she couldn't find me in the system and besides I told her I didn't have an account with them. So, I gave her the phone number and told her  there was nobody  here by that name. She told me politely she would remove my phone number from their computer.
Lets see if it  really gets removed. IF I get another call later this week, I will call back and talk to the manager.

I recently got my fico score and noticed this company appears on it for checking my credit.  Did they check yours as well?

PayPal sent me a statement for $111.67 . I called this # and they told me to call 1-888-221-1161 to see if i could get the late charges taken off , Then I went to my bank and had the date they told me I had a charge , I did not see any Pay Pal on my bank statement . I proceed to go on the computer to see the original phone # for PayPal which I did and talked to a man who said he did not see any charges to PayPal and told me It might be a scam. So here I'am telling it all so be aware.

To whom this is concerned : I did not buy anything from you in Oct 19.

This was for my New Egg account. I was a few payments past due and they called to schedule a payment. The rep. was very professional.
