I was called by this unavailable number. 866-532-0549.
I sat there while the machine kept saying " Please hold while we look up your account information. It will only take a few moments."
45 minutes 17 seconds later (and several hundred of the recorded messages) I finally hung up.
I would not have sat there that long, but it was annoying and I really wanted to tell someone that!! No one ever came to the line.

No answer

automated female voice message, "blahblah, 'insurance associates'... please return this important call... blahblah, attempt to recover a debt..."

Uhumm...  'Insurance associates'  U have just been "FLASH ALERTED" , please respond with a proper authentication procedure immediately.

They call everyday here is the list from my caller ID.  I answer and they hang up.  I have great credit and have not one debt in deliquency.  I asked why they would do that as I called a number that was posted on the internet that let you call them back (Portfollio Recovery) and they said they could not tell me why. I called many of the numbers listed below and could never get through to an agent.  She told me I could report it to the FTC if I wanted too.  I said why cant I ask you to stop calling and have you do that or tell me why you are calling so we can straighten this up.  She said she couldnt tell me why and they most likley would not stop calling.  I also have been told they work for people that will monitor when you come and go from your home, but why.  So dont answer when they call or do for fun just to throw them off.  Here are the numbers I beleive are all related to Portfollio Recovery. What I would like to know is who they are working for on my behalf.  I started getting these calls when I reported the bank fraud aginst my elderley mother here in Alaska.
