This call came from GC Credit Service, said we owed a large amt to Capitol One.  We do not have a Capitol one credit card.  Told them it was not us.  We called Capitol one Fraud department, and were told that they aren't even doing business with GC Credit Service.  Who is lying????  Looks like a scam by both GC Credit Service, and Capitol One.

This company GC Services has 866-565-2514/888-236-3643/ and 877-249-4007 numbers that they have called us from so far.  We are still not the party they are looking for.  Have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.  Hopefully this will stop the calls

Calls at all hours of the day, leaves no messages. When I call back I get an automated system telling me to hold for the next available operator & the same East Indian sounding man answers everytime I've called back.

got a call today from "GC Credit Services," thickly accented Indian woman claiming to represent a debt-collection agency. Said I owe money to Capitol One.

I gave her no information, not even a birthdate. Called Capitol One Fraud and after being bounced around a while they found an open credit account in my name. I've filed the fraudulent credit papers. Here begins a long hassle.

I am not sure that this is Capital One or GC Services (collection agency).  My SSN was stolen recently and I have been tracking fake checking and credit cards popping up.  One of the fakes was to Capital One.  I think these people are calling to find out the credit card numbers that Capital One mistakenly mailed to me instead of the crooks.  DO NOT give them any information - check your credit report and call Capital One directly.  If they don't know what you are talking about, then its fraud and you better watch out.  This call is trying to get information from you to verify your identity of for fraud.

Calling several times a day, no message. On my cell phone. Tired of it.

That depends on who your phone service provider is.  Some providers - I have Comcast - allow you to set up "Block Lists" to stop certain numbers from calling you.  I got one of these this morning and added that number to my Block List.

They were looking for my mom and they called my grandma (my dad's mom) and my cell phone number so far looking for her.  This is assinine.

They keep calling my cell phone several times a day!  I'm not even the person they are looking for!!  I've told them over & over again, wrong number, quit calling me...especially my cell phone!  Quite sick of this crap!

Calls and hangs up. When I call back to see who the call is from. Reply is, "Please hold for the next available agent."

They call multiple times a day looking for a lady who I have never met. Each time I inform them they have the wrong number and that I have owned this number since April of 2006, and each time I am promised that they will correct their records. Basically, they are incompetent liars. I strongly advise you to not work with these people, since no good can come from it. I am so glad I do not have a Capitol One account and will never seek one based upon the idiots who work their collections department.

Call came to Kansas at 08:28 on 7-10-09 CDT. Call not answered and no message left. Other sites identify this as either Capital One or GC Services. At any rate, I junked them.

1-800-727-5848 -- I received a bill from GC Services, P.O. Box 7820, Baldwin Park, CA 91706, in which they claimed that I owe $$$$$ from a so-called traffic violation way, way back in the 1990s. Then they started harrassment calls using 1-800-727-5848 under the guise of "Superior Court". A simple GOOGLE Search on "GC Services" and "1-800-727-5848" reveals that this company and the people that work for them are LIARS and have a track record of FRAUD. There needs to be a thorough legal investigation of this "GC Services" and "1-800-727-5848" by the appropriate authorities as this type of activity cannot continue by this fraudulent entity.
