    Thanks for the info, scard.  I picked up the receiver and automatically slammed it down.  I was wondering who it was.  Now I know I can keep on doing that.

    Received a call from 866-580-0512 on 5/2/2013 at 11:04am EDT. Caller ID displayed "Toll Free Call". Did not answer and a message was left. The message was a recording from Optimum cable TV (Cablevision) informing me about an upgraded cablebox remote control offer.

    I added this munber to my Google Voice block list.

    Optimum allegedly called about their remote control. I am borderline on this call. On one hand they gave a legitimate website. But on the other hand, I question the authenticity of the call. Especially since I received more  than one call from a different number (numbers) that claimed to be them regarding another matter. When I called the local number, the agent said they never called here.
