First time I've ever gotten this number, and from the looks of it, no one else has really gotten it either. No message

call made from this number twice in last few weeks, no message ever left.  I didn't try to return call as this is the pattern of telemarketers - they never leave a message as they don't want to get found it if they haven't talked to you.  I block all unknown numbers who don't leave a message.

From british columbia, they called yesterday (nov 9/2009) no msg was left. called back but automated msg saying -this number is not available at this time-
The # they called me at, was my cell. Unlisted etc...who knows how they got it. random dialing?

Received first call from this number today on my cell phone. Didn't answer it.

called at 18:50 Nov-10-2009. no msg left.

showed up on call display as shaw cable GP

called at 17:30 Nov-12-2009, no msg left

Called me several times over the last week.  No message left, when I call back it tells me "this number is outside my calling area" even when I dial as long distance.  They are calling my unlisted, BC cell # = not impressed.

Called at 10:38 am CST. I answered, no response, line went dead. Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Several times this week between 16:30 and 18:30. Line went dead when answered and attempts to call back resulted in a "This number is not available in your area at this time" message. The call was to my unlisted AB cell phone. Very unimpressed.

same happened to me... that number called me 3 times in the last 2 days... no caller ID.. maybe its shaw cable, i have no idea. they didnt leave a message.

call hung up as soon as i answered

This number call my no. almost every other day, one during the day and one at night.  I never answer call that I do not know.  (call made to Edmonton cell#).

Ok, so I was able to answer today.  It's confirmed that this is a Shaw Cable inside sales (telemarketing) promotional call.  They have our numbers because we are, or were at some point, on a Shaw Cable service and this is the number we had on our account at the time of service.
I live in BC, but this number is their Winnipeg inside sales number, this is how they're getting around having to show call display to outside of province callers, this is also why when we call the number back we get "This number is not available in your area at this time". Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you have to show on call display who you are and your number must be available to callback if you are making telemarketing calls, guess they've found a loophole for all out of province callers.  
Anyhoo, they offered me a pretty sweet cable deal.  6 months for digital cable at 10 bucks a month.

From Manitoba. Got my second call from this number today, and didn't answer again. 7429 spells out "SHAW", and they have had a history of making weird and pointless nuisance calls to their customers, for whatever reason. Am currently considering switching to MTS.
