This is a scam people.  Do not verify any information.  Simply tell them that the legal way to collect a debt is via US Mail and if they say they sent a letter tell them to send it certified so there is a verifiable signature at the address of record.   They will then ask to verify your email.  Repeat to them to send it via US Mail.  They will then threaten that the only way to resolve is if you contact them by close of business.  Then they hang up.  When they call again, just go through the same routine.  Helps if you can block the numbers they call from too.

Looks like they have an f with the BBB and an alert and a notation at the bottom that they do not comply with Federal laws:  http://www.bbb.org/upstate-new-york/business- ... e-ny-235981595/
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
