received letter from this number what do you know of the company

Received a letter stating I won $130,000. Name given was David Gill. Was told a check would be mailed to me. So I'm waiting on it to take to the police dept.

They have been around for years, I first got contacted back in 07' different names... These people don't give up... Don't call them... It's a US phone number, the whole thing is fishy if you know what your looking for...  The address isn't even real, the police can't do anything, the Post Office already knows about them... All you can do is tell your friends and family, please remind anyone that is close or turning 60 to watch out because they prey on them... They doing e-mails, phone calls & snail mail.... No one called this time, they called in  13', 14', this time I got a letter in the mail ... The joke is on them I have no money .... :)

*Footnote: for more information there is another number in the letter 866-205-9343, this is also a US number... I can't find any information on this number yet... The company is fake also, but we already knew that ...

This goldwood crest send my 11 year old a certified fake check for $4950.00 asking him to cash it and return some money back.
Fraud and my 11 year old was very happy saying that he got himself some money.

Going by the other posts, does the company sound reputable? Anything you get is likely to be fake. If anything, it's a ploy to at least get your address, if not more. It's not worth getting mixed up with. If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is.

they said i won the lottery back a few years ago an i need to claim so ive been lied to huh justin

Total scam.  Anything you receive in US mail which seems fraudulent should be taken to the local post office so the postal inspectors can take a look at it.  This is mostly likely mail fraud.

Research the company and previous posts, you'll see there's nothing real about this and nobody won anything. Take it from CW. What do you think a scam is? The truth?

The more he posts asking a variation of the same question over and over, one that is clearly answered by most other already-existing posts on the thread, the more he moves closer to troll territory.  I think we need to leave him be.
