    Called identified as security from Amazon saying that $1000 gift card was purchased on my account and they will cancel if not me. Wanted me to block an IP address. Not sure "long game" plan but all seemed too odd to be legit.

    Same thing! I was suspicious so they said I could call back an 855 number but with a google search that turned up nothing. scammer.

    Possibly used for other scams as well.
    Scammers use "voice disguising" sound boards to make you think its a real message and often you can detect the flaws in what they say.
