got call from caller 1241 today no message.

Message left on my home phone saying it was important that I call them back or visit "ncassist.com," as posted previously this is a junk website.  They used my name and provided me a reference number to use when calling back.  I called the number back, they keep saying "This is National City, your call is very important to us," etc. I was on hold for 20 mins and hung up. Glad I checked this number out here and thanks for the supporting posts.

Got the same call this morning.  It is one of the better attacks that I have seen - called the bank - they are investigating

I got the same thing.  They kept saying "this is a message for", then pronouncing my name incorrectly.  I'm not planning to call them back.

I get this call periodically. I don't answer because I don't recognize the name. Getting pretty sick of it.

I got a call from the number above and they provided a reference number 3104805535, I have no affliation with these guys.

I keep getting calls from these people over and over again.  They say the same thing to me, "National City Mortgage," etc., but no one ever comes on the line.  Irritating!

My Mother just received a call from this number this morning, but they're calling for me.

I have a mortgage and equity loan with them.  The above number is NOT my account, however, it is a bit disturbing as NCB DOES have my Mother's telephone number on file because they have made courtesy calls to me in the past but to her number.  Her number was my home number at the time that I purchased my home.  I'm going to call NCB at lunch and report this number.

Caller attempted to get me to change my loan details.  Caller was obviously not affiliate with the bank (National City) and did not even have my correct last name.  This is a dangerous scheme.  My account reference number was 3108652996 which is not an account I have.

Update to the above message.  I called National City.  This is a valid 3rd party number.  They are trying to get you to change loan terms (in their favor I'm sure), etc.  The number they leave to reference is not an account number, but a reference number so they no who is calling.  Pretty lousy marketing to me, they make it seem important, like you have a real account issue.

We just received a call from this number.  We called National City Bank directly (NOT the number given in the message).  We are awaiting a call back from a supervisor (in 24-48 hours!) as the employee on the phone stated the call was legitimate but she did not know what the call was about.

What is interesting is that "unavailable" comes up as the caller's name, even though their message states they are from National City Bank.  The way the call is placed makes one initially think the bank is calling you about some problem with your account.  This is extremely misleading and can be frightening.

We will await our call back, but you can be sure we will be calling them again if we do not hear back within a reasonable time.  I do not think 24-48 hours is reasonable when it involves something that frightens customers.

Received a call from this number and since my daughter answered, I didn't know what the caller/recorder said.  I have been trying to call this number back since my daughter did hear that it was an important call but I haven't been able to get through.  After reading about these other people with the same type of call, I will not call them back.

This number calls my home every few days and leaves a meesage about an account number that does not exist.  When I call back as instructed, I am on terminal hold.

I have been getting robocalls from National City Bank looking for my son-in-law who does not live here and who has no relationship with anything named that, then just dead air the last few times including just now - all from this number.

Repeated robo-calls from this number this month (Jan 09), recording indicates they are from National City Bank, trying to reach Steve Mitchell.  There has never been a Steve Mitchell at my number, and I don't have any accounts at NCB.  All responses (i.e. press 1 if you are Steve Mitchell) lead you to a repeated recording.  The recording eventually asks you to call back on the 866 number and refer to a particular reference number.  I shall try from a pay phone since calling any 800 (866) number will display your caller ID, and put you in a position of having called the company, which exempts them from any punishment for calls to a Do Not Call list number for 18 months (interesting trick).

This number calls me all the time.  The first message was an automated message.  I was quite skeptical as they butchered my name and gave me a bogus account number of 3100262484.  When I called back I was on eternal hold.  It didn't seem right so I called National City and they couldn't find this toll free number in their system, 866-607-6595.  I also received a letter from them in the mail telling me to call them about my account.  I do have a HELOC with National City so I was curious about all of this.  National City advised me not to call them back and give them any information, which is pretty obvious.  Yesterday they left me another message to call them about my account.  They gave the same phone number, but this time it was a real message from a real person, J.C.  I called the number back this morning to see if I would get an answer and someone lived picked up the phone saying, "National City."  I hung up and called National City to verify that they were not trying to get a hold of me.  They confirmed there were not, and I asked to be transferred to the fraud department where I reported the issue.  I then called back the phone number that keeps calling, 866-607-6595.  I asked for J.C. when the person answered and she said she wasn't there, but could not help me.  They asked for my phone number (which I gave since they obviously have been lighting it up and have it) and my name (which they had too).  Then she said that the call was to see if they could get me into the best loan...blah, blah, blah, and that they had a 10 minute financial survey to take me through.  I then told her that I called National City and they verified for me that this is not National City.  I asked her who they are and she stammered and said, "well, uh, we are a third party that calls for their loan officers and collects information.  Our company is Convergys."  This is a real call center in the area that I live so either this is exactly what they say, or it's someone trying to steal your identity by getting you to reveal personal information.  My response was, "I don't really care who you are, you are not National City and that is all that matters.  DO NOT ever call me again or I will take legal action.  Please verify for me that you are deleting my phone number from your call list."  She gladly did it and ended the call.  

Hopefully this helps the rest of you that have been curious.

Received two automated phone messages in the past 4 hours from them, claiming to be National City Bank and referencing an account number that does not belong to me.  The message told me to call back or visit he.nationalcitypaymentsolutions.com -- since my computer is shielded and firewalled to within an inch of its life, I chose the later.  Didn't do anything on the website, but could see that it was clearly "homemade".  Submitted a report to the REAL National City to alert them and will do the same with FTC.

Interesting that when I ping he.nationalcitypaymentsolutions.com, I get an IP of 70.242.69.61 which is registered to Financial Network Inc. via AT&T Internet Service and no other information.  But when I ping nationalcity.com, get an of IP 161.150.129.166 and do a lookup of that, I get all sorts of information that appears to be valid and true.  Just one more sign this is a scam.

We've been getting called from this number at least twice a day and then a recording saying they are National City Bank telling us to call them back or go to website he.nationalcitypaymentsolutions.com and reference an acct. number. VERY ANNOYED! Will be blocking this number.

I keep receiveing calls from this number. They want me to want on the phone. I don't plan on calling them back. How do you stop this phone call from happening?
