- Evie| 1 replyCalled my parents home to tell them they were trying to resolve a tax matter. Scared them to death for me. (I haven't lived in their home for over 11 years).
- Caller: Federal Credit Corp
- Call type: Debt collector
- me too replies to EvieI received a call from them as well stating it was a tax matter and I had supposedly received a tax letter inwhich I haven't. So I knew there was some untruth to this story. I looked up the numer through the internet and learned it was just a collection agency.
- me 3Same call, but I didn't make it to the phone in time. I called back the number and they said "you reached the legal department" and tried to trick me into telling them I was or knew the person they were calling for.
- me 3Just looked up their # and here's the link to Federal Credit Corp. Mabye I'll call them up and tell them they owe me some tax money.

- HeatherI recieved a call from this number as well on my moms phone which i haven't lived at in 8 years! they left a message and made it sound like i was in trouble or something. I called the lady back and she said her system was down, i was going to see what info. they were going to ask for. she said shes calling me back, but meanwhile im calling the actual IRS. this will tell me if i need to file whatever 1099 they were talking about. also i noticed when the lady put me on hold the music was some commercials for new shows coming on tv.. the irs has some classical music stuff.. so i will post here after i talk to the irs and see if its legit or not.
- Caller: Federal Credit - legal dept. for IRS??
- Steve Roberts replies to MickeyThey are nothing but a bootom feeding, scum sucking, lower than pond scum bill collector that lies and threatens people which is against the law! But considering the guy who owns this "agency" settled out of court with the Feds himself to avoid a prison stint in "Club Fed" it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
- MARILEIGHNOT LEGIT-Collector for old credit/balances. These people are a farce and can not do ANYTHING!!!. Please, If you read the fair credit tax act to them they will not call you again.
- Caller: Fderal Credit

- FrustratedI'm just letting it ring -- three times in the past hour alone!
- IrinaThese people call MY cell number trying to reach my husband. They called me today again and said that they will deduct $1,100 dollars from our tax return this year. And the the lady hung up on me.
I decided to call back and asked her how come she provided an excellent customer service to me by hanging up. Her response was she had a hudnred other people to call.... very lowsy excuse....
Then I suggested to send me a mail to my address and got a response that since they have an old address on file they are not going to WASTE stamps on that...that was fun!!! I said, oh, really, .44 cents stamp is a chunk of money... she had nothing to tell me in response...
They are full of crap. We even do not have an account with Cingular.
My husband then called them again and told a guy who picked up the phone that he will drive by their office and pay them the money we owed :) lol. or we can mail them some stamps out since they are so cheap ;).- Caller: Fderal Credit

- Joe PavanLow life people that get paid to harass.
20 times in an hour - JENHow can we put a stop to this harassment?
- JackReceived a call from this number on both a direct dial-in number at work and my work cell phone. The message says to call them back at the 866-611-6300 number but it shows up on my cell phone caller ID as 817-865-2020, which is a landline in Grapevine, TX. No idea why they are calling, I don't have any debts.
- Caller: unknown
- Anonymreceived call from incoming caller and says to have my neighbors name call them at 866 611 6300 she does not live here and has nothing to do with my business or the debt. I do owe money to the original creditor but now I got a letter from these people with my landlords name on the bill and my business name is wrong. I dont trust them as they cant even get my info right and are illegally involving someone else in the debt trying to get more info on me to make my life hell. I will never give them any money as they are too fishy. I will move, quit my job and get a new phone if they keep this up. Screw them. I wont even let them leave a voicemail if I can help it. SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!

- philageminiGot a call at work today from this number 866-611-6300 identifying them as "" the law offices of W. Thomas & Gold"". Real cute. I know who they are & they get money from me every month. They can go scratch there %^&*(*&^"".
Law office indeed. - MelissaIt was a recording on my machine & the recording messed up like 2 times then it finally worked.Such a bad scam when ur automated voice stops half half way then goes again lol.
- ANNI have received several voicemails from this number. They have never asked for anyone in particular, it is an automated recording stating that they have a special offer from Federal Credit. Other messages left state that it is a call from the law offices of W. Thomas & Gold. Whatever. I havent returned the call, due to the fact that I receive numerous calls from creditors regarding accounts that belong to my ex husband who has been my ex for five years now.
- Caller: Federal Credit
- maxI got a call from 888-507-5070 but the machine lady said to call 866-611-6300 back. The machine lady said she needed to talk to a Patricia but I know of no one by the name. I called the 866 number and let them know.
- Got 2 be kidding! This organization buys up old, past statute debts and attempts to threaten by saying they are calling from a LAW OFFICE, in particular.
1st, debts which are past state statutes of limitiation for suits and for strong-arm collections should never be re-aged by you even speaking with these scumbags. Most debts past 3 years of charge-off by the original credtor can not be taken to court so these "lawyers" can bag their wind and sell it off-shore. Do not even speak with or acknowledge anything with them.
2nd, by pretending to go after your taxes is their favorite tactic. Unless the original creditor filed charge-off to the IRS (in which case a 1099 whould have been sent to you by them) they can not otherwise attach taxes.
3rd, statutes are stattes-if the original creditor does not sue within statute, it is tough to do this after SOL UNLESS they re-age it by YOU talking with anyone.
If you want to pay the debt, go to the original creditor and pay them, not these morons. - Nicholas OakleyDo not know who these people are or why they would be calling. Didn't leave a message just there number.
- Caller: Didn't say
- Call type: Debt collector
