    If you answer the call, they (he) identify themselves as a certified Microsoft engineer and that you computer is having serious issues "press one".  I didn't press anything, just hung up.  The call came in again, nothing left on voice mail.  Caller ID shows xxxxxxxx, TX then the phone #.

    Microsoft does not monitor computers or call you to report problems.  Scammers pretending to be from Microsoft call often, from lots of different numbers.  If you let them into your computer they will install malware, not remove it.
