- Caller: JCC
- Gunnar replies to SoConfused!| 3 repliesPersistent aren't you? I'm starting to wonder why. No one has reported receiving anything by mail from this outfit. No one has reported being served. A legitimate debt that has gone unpaid & is soon to be sued in civil court for would most certainly be showing on your CRs. A simple inquiry with your clerk of courts offices would show that this outfits threats are as empty as the space between their ears is. They are nothing but fraudulent/bogus debt collectors who are using the same old routines that their kind have been using for years. Everything you need to know about these clowns & their antics has been explained. Put them out of your mind & block their calls. Remember, if you haven't gotten a valid notice in the mail those calls from these vermin are worth almost as much as a the dirt on the bottom of your shoe.
Gunnar - BigA replies to Gunnar| 2 repliesBecause he is playing a game Gunnar. The attention game. He wants attention, so he keeps coming back posting questions and playing dumb. The information has all been given to him but he refuses to look at it, and keeps coming back back with that "I just don't know what to do" attitude.
- Gunnar replies to BigAI'm sure you're right. Hmmph! Some peoples kids...!!

Here at Hogwarts, help is always given to those who ask for it. But it helps when you go to school here, if you get my meaning, if you catch my drift. - Patrick replies to Suzi| 5 repliesThis call is a scam...
I received the same calls ...
I never took out a Pay Day loan..
And they are just trying to get you to pay them money...
Don't worry about it.
This is fraud. - Tamianth replies to SoConfused!Yes, it would be on your credit report. And here is the Ohio Statue of Limitations for debt:
https://www.debt.org/faqs/americans-in-debt/consumer-ohio/
This is how I searched it: Ohio Statue of Limitations Debt - Resident47 replies to Marie} according to the FDCPA ...you will sue them for $1000 per harassing phone call, and $1500 per robocall
Those of course would be empty threats, no better than those spewed by JCC. The FDCPA does not stack awards for violation counts. The statutory limit is $1K, all you can eat, for all violations set forth. The FDCPA has never provided "$1500 per robocall". You're thinking of the TCPA, written for sales callers, which starts at $500 per violation. Treble that amount is only available for violations proven "knowing and willful". TCPA is applied to debt collectors with considerable resistance and in limited circumstances, usually concerning skip trace calls to mobile phones.
Yes, knowledge is power, which can zap you when misused. A better strategy is to simply let the thugs make all their stupid illegal moves, quietly collect the evidence, and drop a bomb on their house counsel when your story is clear and airtight. Creeps like this hear a lawsuit threat every day. Few are ever sincere or viable so they are not deterring.

http://www.consumerfinance.gov/askcfpb/search ... debt-collection - Resident47 replies to BigAIt's the wrong set of questions being posed, such as "Is this company a scam?", "Is that number used by a scammer?" Very strictly, that is not for any one of us to judge and every direct answer is hearsay. Far simpler is to line up everything the bullies did and said against what the FDCPA and other applicable laws set as their boundaries. Find all discrepancies and act accordingly.
All said, Jacobsen Christensen has a history on complaint sites going back several years, which have attracted an above-average volume of Righteous Anger employees and Satisfied Victim shills. "SoConfused" either wants other people to do her/his thinking or is modeling the desired fearful behavior. - Resident47A stray comment and an educated guess lead to J.C. Christensen & Associates in Sartell, MN. Cribbing my own notes from a few years back:
JCC is a subsidiary of Array Services Group. JCC is itself one of the many tendrils of giant mutant debt buyer squid Sherman/LVNV Funding, a chronic lawbreaker. JCC has attracted many lawsuits and complaints of vile behavior. Various sources tell parallel stories of reckless skip tracing, obnoxious and cursing reps, illegal threats, repeated calls for intentional annoyance, seeking payment for debts long out of statute, and unjust collection from families of the deceased. - NoDebt collector looking for my brother. Threatened to call my work and attach to my pay if I don't pay them. They have been calling my cell and my work #. I keep telling them I don't know anyone by that name and they keep calling. They left a claim # on one of the messages, but no company name.

- WTFthesecallssuck| 1 replyBeen getting calls from 866-615-3453 for the last couple of weeks. I've never answered them. They always go to voice mail. Same as some others on here. They never give their name. A computer voice says a file number and to call them back. I did have a payday loan problem back about 7 or 8 years ago. Filed bankruptcy. Included them all in the filing. Declared insolvent. End of story. Even if this one was not included, it doesn't matter. As of that date, I had no assets. Not to mention this was from so long ago. I thought about answering the call and explaining this to them but something tells me that none of this will matter since they are most likely working somewhat (or totally) illegally. And they will most likely not listen to anything I have to say since they are in it for a quick buck from the people they are able to dupe. I have not heard of one person on here yet who has actually received something in the mail from them. Hopefully, they will get shut down soon enough.
I'm pretty sure a place like this will likely not file suit in court since that costs money. So I'm not too concerned. Especially since the law is on my side and the court is required to serve me if I get sued.- Caller: No name given

- Ms. Champagne| 1 replyGreetings everyone. My story begins as follows: i have been contacted by brittney campbell (probality not her real name) on 11-16-2015 and 11-13-2015 as to a so-called payday loan thru cash-net usa which i payed off about 5 years ago. I have the actual payment that was sent to cash net usa through their representative. Please take this message seriously as to the deception by jcc llc as to rip off consumers like myself and others and report these individuals to your local authorties, attorney general office and as such to bring about legal action against these individuals. I have perfect record keeping skills as to what company i deal with as far as payday loans is concerned and continue to keep vital paperwork in relation to who i owe and the amount that is owed currently. I personally have all my reciepts including bank records of all my contacts as to what company has been payed off currently as of 11-16-2015 and if for any reason these individuals ever contact me to harrass me and-or threaten me in any way fashion or form i will put my 10+ years of legal experience to good use and sue who, what and whomever is assosiated with jcc llc and seek to disrupt and disassemble that entire network through hard litigation within the court system to make them accountable for breaking the law with consumers by contacting them in regards to this issue. I will create a class action case based upon these issues through top class action lawsuit website. The email is www.Topclassaction.Com as to have this issue addressed. I have successfully settled and litigated numerous cases involving myself with successful outcome on many of cases. I am a legal litigant but not an attorney. I have settled my case with pfizer, inc. In relation with my personal injury case and this company jcc llc is no different and is no stranger to litigation. Contact your top officials in your state and voice your complaint. As to jcc llc representative, brittney campbell the conversation involving cash net usa was short lived as i have a cut-throat french temper as to her trying to decieve me of the so-called amount of $300 that i have payed back with interest and that was the end of that. Thank you all for reading this comment and good luck with whatever your situation maybe. For the sole purposes of this issue i have payed backed well over $10,000.00 in payday loan(s) with interest upon the hard work done in relation to my case with pfizer, inc. And all my tranactions are done thru my banking account. Have a nice day everyone.

- Ms. Champagne replies to WTFthesecallssuckYour right. JCC LLC will not file suit in regards to this issue. The law is on everyone's side and their is a "Due Process" validation as to how this issue is undertaken.
- Ms. Champagne replies to MaryI have made it point to recoginize that number and keep a phone record of all the calls so that the proof is saved for pending litigation. Hope this information is helpful. Good Luck.
- 419 Pantload| 2 repliesI have received calls from this number six(!!!) times over the last week, on Nov 9, Nov 10, Nov 11, Nov 12, Nov 13, and Nov 16. This has really gotten out of hand. The caller claims I owe them some amount of money - it seems to change from day to day. I've started recording all incoming calls so that there may be something I can use in there to stop them. Calling the number quoted in the message they leave sometimes rings off the hook and sometimes connects you with a person who is incredibly unhelpful and rude... but then, they've all been unhelpful and rude, so no shock there.
These scammers will not give you the full name of the company (which they told me is JCC and "doesn't stand for anything", nor will they give me a physical address of the company (other than to say that they have "several offices in Miami"). I have never taken out an internet payday loan, so I have no idea where they got my information. They have an address that is several years and many moves old, as well as an email address that I've never used. Apparently due to the fact that they are an "arbitration firm" and not a "debt collection agency", that means that they don't need to provide any of the legally required info that they should which is a load of crap.
I'll keep trying to get more information out of whatever pantload they use to call me. If I find out more I'll post it here, and maybe we can all put in a complaint to the BBB or the FBI or whoever. I just really want them to stop calling me. It's annoying as hell. Until then, I'm just going to answer their calls and annoy the hell out of them. Maybe that'll make them give up.- Caller: JCC? In Miami?

- Alfalfa replies to 419 PantloadHow can I verify whether or not a debt collector is legitimate?
Here are a few warning signs that could signal a debt collection scam:
The debt collector threatens you. Legitimate debt collectors probably won't claim that they'll have you arrested or claim that they or their employees are law enforcement officers.
The debt collector refuses to give you information about your debt or is trying to collect a debt you do not recognize. You have certain rights to ask a debt collector to verify the debt. You can use this sample letter to request this information. Ask for an explanation in writing before you pay.
The debt collector refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number.
The debt collector asks you for sensitive personal financial information. You should never provide anyone with your personal financial information unless you are sure they're legitimate.
If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his or her name, company, street address, telephone number, and professional license number. Many states require debt collectors to be licensed. Check the information the caller provides you with your state officials, or the state in which the debt collector holds a license. If the caller refuses or is unable to provide you with information about his company, or if you can’t verify the information he provides, do not give money to the caller or company.
Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." This notice must include:
The amount of the debt
The name of the creditor you owe
A description of certain rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, consider requesting this information in writing or seeking assistance before paying the debt to make sure the debt, and the company, are valid.
Tip: You can consider sending the collector a letter requesting the information by using one of the CFPB's sample letters. You can also submit a complaint to the CFPB or you can contact your state Attorney General’s office.
Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know the company or person you are talking with is a real debt collector. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft such as:
Charging your existing credit cards
Opening new credit card or checking accounts
Writing fraudulent checks
Taking out loans in your name
Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
Report the call. Submit a complaint with the CFPB or get in touch with your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers.
Stop speaking with the caller. If nothing else works and you believe the calls are fraudulent, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files.
Tip: You can use this sample letter to write a letter demanding the debt collector stop contacting you. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
Tip: If you're having trouble with debt collection, you can submit a complaint with the CFPB online or by calling (855) 411-CFPB (2372).
