- ShannonThey call your business from this number to verify your address. Shortly thereafter they send an invoice for an ungodly amount for their services. When you call to get info they say that you authorized them to put your name on their search engine when you verified your address. SCAM!!

- MelWe got caught by this one! It's not until we got an invoice from another scam company, Phonepages, that we went back and looked into this one. We unfortunately paid this bill. What a crock! One thing to look for now: if it's from Montreal, double check! Chances are they are trying to screw you too!

- Brad| 2 repliesSomeone called from this number asking me if i wanted to continue my services with them for another year. I said no and they said well we'll send you the bill for the previous year. As i was very busy in the store at the time i said just send the invoice. Well 3 days later an invoice arrives for the amount of $499.99 plus taxes for a service they call "Business Registration Search Engine Optimization". I called them and told them I was not going to send them payment because i never approved of this service and had no idea who they were. They responed with a fax that shows "proof" of service. At that point i called them back and told they I never asked for this service and they said that I approved the service over the phone 1 year ago. Meanwhile i never seen one letter, invoice, account record, nothing in that year from this company. A nice little scam they got going there but they didn't get me. The R.C.M.P. was also contacted.

http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2009/06/ftc_directory.html - Jen replies to Brad| 1 replyI have received this same invoice. Story is the same as yours. My question is, how did you go about reporting it to the RCMP? And how did the whole situation resolve itself. These people keep on phoning and I am stalling big time. I almost sent them a cheque, but decided to first find out what I'm paying for, and I found these posts. I don't want to pay, but can they force me to pay? Any advice?
- scam replies to JenNO they cant force you to pay, just report them on Phonebusters.com and keep all records of you dealings with them. ALso tell them you have reported them to the RCMP. In order for them to force you to pay they need to start a claim in your jurisdiction, most likely they wont. Send them a registered letter saying that their records are wrong and yours show nothing of such an order. Also if they have you recorded, its a fake as well. DONT LISTEM TO THEM.
- LanaI didn't actually get a call but this company NE Network Ent. sent me an invoice for services rendered. I got my husband to call them and he asked what it is for and he was told that we were using their services for a year and we owed them over $500!! I did not pay it and then we got a registered letter in the mail from them three months later, and I noticed that the bill did not state past due, so I carefully read the letter again and it basically told me that I needed to register for services. A week later I got another letter from a different company for almost the same amount and I knew for sure that they were both scams!!
- WiseToThemNowThese guys are professionals. They have been around for a very long time. I personally have disputed the charges on the credit card. Don't get caught in their web of lies!!! DO NOT PAY!!! I have filed complaints with the 1) competitionbureau.gc.ca as a violation of the Competition Act; 2) GST fraud in the GST Revenue Quebec division; and 3) Phonebusters.com as Internet Economic Crime. It was too late for us, we already gave them almost $3000 before we wised up. DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!

- LeahIn August of 2011 my husband received a call from these guys telling us our renewal for our business was due. My husband proceeded to question them as we are a small bobcat company who only advertises with Yellow Pages. We searched our records and confirmed that we had never even heard of this company, let alone advertised with them. The guy on the phone then told my husband "well seeing as you are being such a jerk, I'm automatically renewing your contract and sending you the bill" and hung up on him. Today I got an invoice from Network Enterprises Inc for $499.99 plus GST for "Business Registration Search Engine Optimization". As I work in a bank and see a lot of these scams, I called them immediately. When I told them that this is not a legitimate bill as there is no GST # or business registration # or any encoding at the bottom of the pay stub, and instructions to pay by credit card is to write your credit card on the bottom of the invoice and mail them back. The guy on the phone got very aggressive with me and when I told him that I work in the bank and am going to inquire about it, he immediately hung up on me.
- Motel in AlbertaI don't recall getting a call this year, however checked my mail today, and low and behold there is another invoice for $539.99 plus GST (no gst #, or business registration either, just like one other complainant). I have been getting these bills for the past 7 years, one time they are selling POS paper and ink, and another time they are selling the "yellowphonepages". Come to think about it I did get a call 2 weeks ago regarding the paper & ink again, that's probably the reason for the bill. The "contact name" has not even operated the motel for the past 7 years. I have also contacted the R.C.M.P. probably about 5 years ago, but nothing has ever happened, but I will not pay these invoices. If an employee answers the phone, they simply ask for his(her) name and use that as authorization. The invoice is from NE Network Enterprises C.P. 40 Succ Snowdon, Montreal QC H3X3T3 Canada
