same thing, personal reference lie, and you call and its premier credit, filing a BBB complaint next.

They call and say they are getting a "personal reference" for someone I know. They won't tell me who they represent or where they are at.  Sounds to me like a collection agency covering themselves?

Called on answering machine and left message:  Call 1-866-618-1061 lookeing for a personal refer need you to call and left a case file number.

Thanks for the information. Just called an hour ago, and said that I was listed as a personal reference. Almost believed until the message included a case number. Am not calling back. What ever happened to putting things in black and white. If someone wants information from me, that is what is going to have to happen.

Got the same type of call.  If you want to stop being annoyed (by Premier Credit or any other cold calling company), call them back and ask for their management's street mailing address - tell them you need it to send a registered mail letter to them.  They will try to avoid this but ultimately they must give it to you (you can hear them rustlking through their work manuel looking for guidance when you ask). Write them a letter demanding all communications be put in writing - you need to identify yoiurself to do this.  The law generally is that they must stop calling and start writing when they receive the demand.  Many times you simply do not hear from them again. This will not fix your credit report however.

Boyfriend answered phone while i was sleeping and took a message. The person left this phone number and a reference number. Thought i would look the number up on here before i called it back. Glad I did. I don't have an account with these people, but I know someone who did. Whatever it is they want, they can send in a letter. If they have my phone number then they have my address. I have only had my phone for a month.

Received a call yesterday from 866 618 1061, caller's name was Ashley.  They left a message but did not ask for whom the message was directed to. They just said they wanted to "verify some information" and left a reference number. Since I have never been late with a bill in over 12years it could have been they were leaving a message for the previous owner of my home number since I've only had this number for 5years.  I hung up and Googled the number and found this site. Thanks for the heads up. I have never heard of Premier Credit, so I'm not sure they were looking for me and don't intend to find out.....they can call back or send a letter.

I got the same message on my work phone. The caller's name is also Ashley, her extension is 461. I'm not returning the call.

Same thing happening to my son's phone.  Someone named James called and left message instructing him to call 1-866-618-1061 looking for a personal refer, left a case file number, and his extension.  Didn't identify who he was calling for or a company name and my son is not late on any bills.  Son's number is on the do not call list.  To file a complaint
