This is not a sales call, you have been listed as a personal reference please call our office M-F from 8-5. These people call our home at least 4 X's a week. I don't care if I have been listed as a personal reference QUIT CALLING!!

Same as above. I called the # its Premier Credit.Sales call I suppose I hung up when I found out who it was.

Called 4 times a day saying I was listed as a reference. I do not nor did not ask for any information from this company. STOP CALLING ME!!!

4 calls per week, especially on weekends, including Sundays.  Always called after normal business hours.  Recording message, not a "live person".

I prefer to waste my own time without any help from 866-618-1064.

Received call saying it was not a sales call, I was listed as a personal reference. Message repeated several times.

I have received this call several times, sometimes using up most of the time left on my answering machine.  On the weeks-end if you call you get what sounds like a fax machine answering.

First time I received the call. I know it had something to do with me posting my resume on a job website, because every time i log into the website i have to change my privacy settings. Career builder is the site i posted on.

Anyway, I immediately looked up the number and found this forum.

My caller ID number shows that it came from 1 (522) 417 4563
The message says to call 1 (866) 618 1064

Keeps calling --very annoying

I called the number after numerous calls received from them. It seems a neighbor from about 15 years ago used me as a reference. I told them where they could kindly stick their calling machine and I hope the calls stop. They state they are a credit agency and I was listed as a reference.

there is a considerable long waiting after the ring. then a recorded voice say" This is not a sales call..."
I called back 866-618-1064. a lady named Sovia say they are Primier Credit...

Someone has been calling my parents saying I gave them their name and number as a credit reference....not!
The last name they used was my maiden name. Which I haven't used since 1988... this is very disturbing to me. Is someone using my name? How in the world did they get my parents number? They only moved there recently?
And I have not applied for anything at all and if I was to, it wouldn't be in a name I don't have! My mom called back on the 866 number they left for the return number to call them on but when my mom asked if the 522 area code number was the number to use the girl stumbled a bit and just said yes. Huh???
She then proceeded to ask my mom to make sure she had the right person if she would give her my birthdate to prove it was me!! I'm yelling on the other phone(my mom used cell to return the call to her while I was on landline) no don't give her anything! Tell her to confirm my birthdate!! She couldn't do it. Now she has decided it is against the Privacy Act laws. Are u kidding me? Something is very very wrong here!!! My mother and father are contacting some federal department and reporting them. My mom is like a dog with a bone with these kind of things trust me. She will go to congressmen, governors, senators. She doesn't care. Don't be surprised if u see these people in the news! Oh yea she is giving them a contact number for this "person" using my name. It has an area code of a far away land!!! So much for their 866 number charges!! And their little scams.

you just need to pick up your phone and call these FREE phone numbers to officials who are being paid to stop companies like this one who are calling you or your family members in your homes and harrassing or scamming you.

they say they are calling you because you were named as a credit reference, the same company is calling saying they are collecting on a school loan or other type of debt.

HELP US PUT A STOP TO THIS TYPE OF PARASITE!!!

Just like everybody else, I have received numerous calls from the (522)#. They always leave me a message to call 866-618-1064. I tried calliong back the (522)# and I receive a message that the number I called is disconnected. I called the (866)# and have left them a couple messages stating to please remove my number from their calling list. This morning, I decided to call and I talked to an agent. She claims that I was a given as a reference from Anna (my aunt). My aunt passed away 20 years ago. The agent asked if this is Harvey's reseidence. Harvey is my father, whom passed away 15 years ago. I asked why they are calling. They said Anna has a debt from a school loan. I explained that I did not have the phone number they called when both my aunt and father were alive. She immediately said she will remove my number from the call list.

They stated that they were T.J. and that they were calling Because I was listed as a personal reference for a friend or family member. even when as far as giving a reference #...  

I FIRST came to this site and found out all I need to.

Ok, just to clarify.  I owe on a school loan-- It was waaay past due and I have made no payments within 6 yrs.  Therefore, when they were in the beginning stage of garnishing my wages, they left 866-618-1064 as a call back number.  I called them back to schedule payments to avid garnishment, and they asked me for 3 personal refrences.  This is in case I back out of my agreement with them, they can harrass 3 other ppl until I begin payments again.

Annoying?  Definnatley.
Legit?  Unfortunatly Yes.

So, someone gave out your number.  Maybe they guessed it?  I am sure ppl lie about contacts with this sort of thing.  Either way, this is not a sales call and is in no way "illegal".  If they are looking for someone you do not know, just tell them.

My complaint is like so many above. They called my house where I have lived less than 5 months, said their line ..this is number was given as a reference...ect... the name used I havent used in over 12 years.... and the number on my ID was from a town that I use to live in  and never used the name in that town...and the number is a non working number???? how can that be???they didnt even know WHO they had called or the party at this number in a different state! ARGGGGGGGGGGG

called them back. on hold for a minute, got the name "premier credit" and hung up.
