- Glen HowardCall all the time and does not leave a message
- JohnI received the same call today, tried asking them who they were looking for, she said "Anyone with a high interest credit card" WTF?! asked her what company etc, they didn't provide me with a detail answer, and when she tried to ask me a few questions, I didn't give her any detailed answer back and she hung up on me. Its a scam ~ luckily I didn't give them any information. What a B*tch!

- Rob replies to LorraineI also called and got told the same thing - they needed my phone number and surname. I challenged her on the surname. No other company requires that. She said then the request would not be processed. So then I asked which surname? There's more than one person who lives here. If she could tell me where they got my number from, then I could figure out which surname they needed. She barked at me, "I don't know, they're in Florida, I'm not."
What a [***].
So I gave the surname associated with the telephone line.
I seriously doubt if they will remove my number. They don't seem legit.
Oh, yeah, and they did answer the phone as "Mutual Savings". - D.| 1 replyJust got phone call from 866-627-9325/ Did a Google, it brought me to this web-site. I'm also in Canada. How do we get on the "no call" list?
- JasonIdiots called and left a voice mail (of course without saying WHO they are or are associated with) and gave me the same diatribe that all of you have heard (the automated message). I wouldn't even bother talking to them as it's not worth the effort. Incidentally, I live in the middle of the praries in Canada (Saskatoon) and am surprised that they picked here of all places to call.
- AnnoyedThis company is using an auto dialer with a [***] recorded message. IN the start of the message they try sound like there is a problem with your card and then go into a pitch about lowering your card rate. Called from 866-627-9325
I called back to demand removal from the "phone spam" list and got at least a 3 minute long message. Made me so annoyed I slammed the receiver down, and broke it. :(
Damn, I hate this kind of crap.
They call me again and I'm reporting them to the CRTC- Caller: NCS Wealth

This is one of the classier phishing scams I've seen so far. They've gone to all the trouble of setting up a website so the victim can find them and submit their personal information directly online without ever having received a phonecall. The company will not list the actual phone number on the site so that they cannot be found by typing the call display number into a search engine.- Caller: MCS Wealth (found via websearch)

- M. Hunter| 1 replyGot a call April 16 10:50 am CDT, same automated message from "Card Services" saying something like "There is nothing wrong with your card but we can offer you a lower credit card rate, press 1 ... This offer will expire soon" I pressed 1 and got a person who said "Card Services" I then immediately them asked "Card Services for what company?" and they hung up.

- M MartensI got a blank message, and so I called the number back to have my name taken off the list. The lady answered "MCS" and when I asked to have my name taken off the list, she asked for my last name and my phone number. I gave it to her and then she told me that she would send it to the call centre and have it removed from their call list. She was polite, but I am pretty leary about whether she did as I asked or not.

- Mike| 1 replyCalled it back, "Shane" from Mutual Savings answered, I hung up at that point.
- PaulI thought it was funny that the robot who handles the intro didn't say what the company was and I was about to just hang up when I thought I should find out what they were all about...pressed 1 and spoke to some woman who, when I asked what her company was, just hung up on me. I called back and got "Shane" who assured me that they were having phone problems and that nobody would deliberately hang up on me. He tried to push the low interest credit card on me and I told him I wasn't interested and that I'd see him in hell.

- Lynn| 1 replyI haven't received many calls from this particular number, but get a lot of tele-marketing calls in general. This number has never left a message, just hung up when the answering machine kicks in.
I live in southern Alberta, Canada. - Deb| 2 repliesI got a ph call April 18th from the same company....I got very suspicious yet, they almost had me give my information as my husband had been calling credit card companies to get a lower interest rate. However, my red flags kicked in fast enough....and I never gave him my info...I asked if I could call him back, after talking to my husband who had the info...they wanted to know how much interest I was paying on my credit cards...when I asked which credit card company they were representing...they got on the defensive and said....they represent all the credit cards and banks and named my personal bank...so I almost bit...but the flags were flying high still...so this is the number I was given.....1-800-943-3250 Ex 500 and the name I was told to ask for was Joe Picotte. When I called, I got an answering machine that said the office was closed. I then phoned the number on my call display the 1-866-627-9325 and got again an answering machine. So, I decided to call the better business bureau and found out there is a ph busters in Canada to contact.....they informed me that they are aware of these people..and to please DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION...the bank is the only one that can lower your interest rate/credit card company ...not a 3rd party. Seems they charge you a fee on your credit card for their work to help you. The phone busters ph number if you want to talk to them is 1-888-495-8501. Good Luck everybody be safe :)

- angry in manitobaI think this is a redit card scam:
These idiots have shown up on my call display a few time. Then finally called while I was home. Its a stupid auto dial with a recorded message.
They claimed I had a problem with my credit card and that I should talk to them right away. So I pushed the number and got an operator.
I told then I knew they weren't my credit card company and asked if it was a scam? Of course they said no it wasn't a scam.
Then I asked to be taken off their call list and . . .
THEY HUNG UP ON ME?????
Not removing some one at their request is a violation of all telemarketing laws in the US and Canada.
So I reported them to the CRTC for violating telemarketing rules.
( and suspect they violate probably laws of humanity!!!)
crtc rules violated: (just naming a couple)
1) they have to show their company on the call display or identify it in the phone message ( they do neither)
2) they have to give you a way off ( of course they don.t)
ARE you annoyed at this company?

- hm| 1 replycalled me today - southern ontario. I just hung up because they weren't from my bank.
- Ramazz replies to hmJust got a call from these guys, their autodialer left a 30 second blank message on my voicemail so I called back to see who answered and spoke to a very 'bored' fellow for about 2 minutes. They are supposed to call back tonight. I'm gonna try and get a little more info on what this scam is about before having them remove me from their calling list and reporting them as necessary.
- AnonymousReceived a call earlier today from this company (Mutual Consolidated Savings being the number in the BBB database) and was met with a recording saying "there is nothing wrong with your card but we would like to offer you a lower interest rate". After I heard the press 1 stuff, I promptly hung up and notified Phonebusters who have informed me that the company is a firm of interest, as they have received lots of calls regarding this firm.

- AlAn automated message indicated that the call was from member/merchant card services indicating that the account would expire soon or somethinig to that effect, and that to lower the interest rate on my card press 1
I did so and a woman answered the phone. I asked her what company are you calling from?
Her response was member card services.
I asked her and where are you located?
Her response was Tacoma, Wa
I asked her and why are you calling me?
She promptly hung up before I could interrogate her further or ask her to remove me from the calling list.
I called merchant card services in Tacoma Wa but they denied any knowledge of this.
