its the billing center for cox medical.

I don't know of this Cox medical, nor why they keep calling me. It's annoying though and they never leave a message.

I've called the phone number and they have a recording Cox Medical Financial Services. I've told them to take my number off their list and quit annoying me but they don't. Such idiots!

Cox Medical Health Center collections

Called more than once and asked for someone who is not here.  Automated, so I called and waited to speak with a representative.  I gave her the information, told her that the number they have is incorrect and took her name and company name (there are several different companies represented by this number).  Gave her warning that if I am called again by this number I will report it to the Attorney General.  Representative was very courteous and told me that they would not call again.

I got automated calls on 11/24/09 and 11/25/09 from this number.  I work for the government and am well aware of scams involving identity theft.  I didn't even try to call the number back on the 24th, but called Cox Medical Center in Springfield MO as I had previously had an account with them, some time ago.  They said I had no balance and it wasn't them that called.  Got another call the 25th and this time called it from another phone.  They gave no company name or identifying information and neither did I.  Told them I knew it was a scam and I was reporting them to authorities.

Also got a call from the number i called it back but only got a voicemail i left no message

I got the same call everyone has indicated, when it told me to call it back they gave me a number if 877-317-6471.  I called it back and was transfered to Brian who put me on hold.  Finally Brian wouldn't give me his last name or the company he worked for.  So finding out it was Cox Hospital, I just called Cox hospital.  Told them what I went through and Lindsay in the billing department indicated to me that they are using this service however, their contract with this service ends June 18, 2010 and for the reasons everyone has described and the reason these people come off as a debt collector is why they are terminating their contract with this service.  I never got the company's name.  My son was seen in Cox in March and after speaking with Cox directly they indicate my bill is not in collections as they have just received my insurance company's payments and my portion is just now due.  Cox told me to deal with them directly and ignore phone calls from these two numbers.  So if you are a Cox patient and are receiving phone calls from this number do not answer them, but call Cox directly.  If you are not a patient of Cox and are getting calls, report them!!  I was told the calls would not stop because I was put on automated list.
