Called  number was private. They give a file number to hubby. I contacted back with file number and they immediately want social. I said after the tell me about their inquiry. Person quotes federal law I'm the one protected. I challenged him and he hung up. Called back, same guy, different name. This is a cell not land line. They say they are a law firm. The next they ask for me by hasn't been used in 20 years.

Yes I got the same call. They called everyone in my family and left messages that civil litigation was about to be filed against me. All the calls were to cell phones, even though I have a listed home phone number and have been living at the same address for over 30 years. They claimed to have sent me legal documents which I had "ignored" and now it was going to court. I had never received anything in the mail. Just an attempt to upset you enough to make you return the call
