Said they were a law firm in California, saying we owed money from 10 years ago  ?????

Same here, telling me that its from a hospital bill and they were going to garnish my wages

VM said that a complaint had been received in their office against me and that I had to respond to them immediately or they'd make a decision without my consent.

Same..except called my phone for a family member and when I called them to tell them wrong # they said they couldn’t mail any correspondence out, could only be on phone

They just called me about a credit card debt from 10 years ago.

This is for sure a scam.  The address for their firm that they provided is tied to a rental space in California; I called that space, and the lady there said she has been getting calls to verify this fake law firm all day.  Don't give them money!!!
