A woman named Elizabeth called my sister stating that there is a lawsuit pending against our mother. I called the number and a fellow named Chase Matthews assisted me. When I told him I had power of attorney he wanted me to email him proof to admin@schafferellisandassociates . com
I think I’ll wait for an actual letter to arrive.

Just rec'd unknown caller left message I had litigation pending or something like that - gave case #.  Said I needed to call before end of day. Unknown caller was my tip off. I'll wait for my papers also!

TOTAL SCAM. This is one of the numbers they tell you you need to call because of "pending litigation". WHEN will law enforcement get involved and drop the hammer on these jerks? Until then YOU ARE SAFE TO IGNORE THESE IDIOTS.

Monica johnson called with blocked number i advised her it was a scam, And hung up she called 5 times i told her it was harrasement and she advised i have no way to trace her call so she dont care. Then called my brother and left a mess to call this number with a case #

This is a total scam. Do not call back. They will call relatives - but tell any relative not to pick the phone up and not to call back. I get these about once a year. It’s pertaining to a bill that’s over 15 years old and has been written off of my credit. It’s tax season , so when this time of year rolls around these calls start again. If you call back, the harassment will begin. If you ignore it, They will stop calling. Every year now for three years, I’ve been told by these scammers that a court order will be served to me and never does. They also always claim they mailed you something in the mail, yet they can never produce or send a copy again to you.  They look all your information up online regarding what county you live,  your phone numbers, and your relatives phone numbers.

I had the same.  I have different people call and say they will serve with a court order if I do not respond today.  Have not gotten one yet.  This over a bill that was written off 7 years ago.

I received a call from a blocked phone number so I didn't answer it.  The caller left a message stating their name was Elizabeth and they were calling to tell me about legal action being taken on a civil complaint and I needed to call back with the case number provided.  When I called back the person was VERY evasive.  I told them I suspected a scam from this threatening phone call.  Then they stated that I had their 'corporate office' in Ontario CA.  Result:  They said it was a mistake and they will take my phone number out of their database.

I received a similar phone call today from a woman.  Leaving a message that my sister needed to call them back about a pending civil lawsuit and she provided a case #.  Thanks to everyone who has identified this as a scam.

Caller male left message stated that I had a civil lawsuit against me in Harris county and that they had attempted three times never responded to my mail so that's why he was calling. Never received mail.
